Too many bad passes and Other such errors by the Warriors in the second quarter gave a. five point advantage to Barrington by half time, and the Warriors never did recover. The score at the intermission was Barrington 32, Mc- Ifjpnry 27. The Warriors managed to close the gap to 46-42 by the end of the third period and appeared on th&r way to victory in the fourth quarter as they went into an allcourt press to gain control of the~ ball. Late in the last quarter the Warriors' were down by four points and had a golden opportunito to snatch the game out of the ffe, but a missed lay-up and inaccuracy at the free throw line helped the Barrington cause. With but a few seconds to play, Moore of Barrington made two free throws which ended the scoring. The final count 64-58. 0SRITAL 5 Parish Tournament Champs MCHENRY' HOSPITAL Patients at McHenry hospital this past vsfeek included Ernest Siemans, Jane Oleyar, Theodore Graham, Annabel Freund, Bonnie Welch, Mary Jungwirth, Wade Lunniss, Barbara Triplett, John Klingberg, Lina Kilday and Leo Heimer of McHenry; Louella Yach of Cooney Heights; Joseph Cina, Cecelia Meyer and Catherine SJeery of Lakeland Park; Anton Ketterer of Pistaqua Heights; Richard Kieffer and Charles Penrod of Crystal Lake; Herbert ScViulgen of Island Lake; Russell Kelley of Woodstock; falter Steffen of Richmond; Joetta Meyer of Woodstock; Beatrice Banks of Wauconda; Margaret Levand of Lakemoor; Agnes Mack of Shalimar. - • John Sutton fell on east Waur kegan street Sunday and suffered a broken' right arm. More snow is predicted, so hunting should be good right up to the last day of the season. The state provides licensed shooting preserves for hunters who like to extend the regular seasons to March 15. These preserves are run on a daily fee basis. There are two of these areas in McHenry county and one in Lake County. This put-and-take method of shooting is rapidly gaining popularity. If it is well-organized and operated properly controlled shooting is just as much sport as regular hunting. In years to come the controlled shooting area wili be the hunter's only alternative, unless he owns his own hunting grounds. Ice fishing is pretty poor. The Chain O'Lakes have not been producing well, but when they do the fun will start. Lake Geneva is very bad so far this year. The fish are there, but are just not biting. It looks as though everyone will just have to be patient and keep trying.
