This, an annual event, was almost traditionally held at the home of Mrs. George Stilling, and was looked forward to with anticipation of things most pleasant. The pot-luck dishes always represent members' top culinary achievements and the .packing of Christmas gifts for shut-ins always makes for a h^e a r t-w a r m i n g pleasantness. Though the meeting place was changed, the spirit remained the same. There was also a gift exchange. The new year promises to be a busier one for the* McHenry club members and certainly will show what garden clubs-can bring to a community in which they exist. Mrs. Fulde has worked with" the McHenry club members on one; other occasion and wiU work with them again to encourage more daring approach to flower arranging. Other projects which had l^een started in years past will be continued and also developed further. The cold months will be spent in making plans and doing the necessary research to bring them to fruition.
