Golf Association - Hag Spring Luncheon The annual spring luncheon of the Ladies' Golf association was held Tuesday, April 22, with Betty Wilkinson as chairman, assisted by Betty Moss and Mildred. Fashion Show And Limcheon May 8 A spring fashion show luncheon will be held on May 8 at the Congregational Universalist church in Woodstock, sponsored by the women's auxiliary of the Memorial hospital for McHenry county. Mrs. Francis Pearce is the chairman of this luncheon and has arranged two servings, al 11^30 and 12:30. Local women will model spring fashions t h r o u g h o u t t h i s t i m e . M r s . Olson of Mineral Springs, became the bride of Mr. David; Kent, son of Mrs. Roy Kent of Riverside Drive and the late Roy Kent. The Couple exchanged vows at a nuptial Mass in St. Mary's Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning, April 19, with Rev. Fr. John Reulajid officiating. / ; Sister M. Andreella and the girls' choir furnished special music for the service. The radiant bride was attired in a satin, backed bridal taffeta dress, styled with snugly fitted bodice, long tapered sleeves, sabrina neckline, outlined in hand clipped Italian lace, and studded with sequins and seed pearls. The skirt was bouffant with lace at hips, trimmed in seed pearls and sequins, forming a chapel length train. She wore a nylon fingertip veil which fell from a beautiful queen's crown of chantilly lace, finished with seed pearls and iridescent sequin?. The bridal bouquet was a cascade of stephanotis and Amazon lilies. Miss Helen Olson acted as maid of honor for her sister, wearing a pale blue silk organza over taffeta dress with bouffant skirt, princess style, with lace over taffeta bodice and sabrina neckline. She wore a matching half-hat with flattering face veil and carried a bouquet of stephanotis, carnations and lilies. The bridesmaids were Miss Laurayne Conway of McHenry, a cousin of the groom, and Mrs. Mitzi Mulvey, Detrbit, Mich., a friend. They were attired in dresses of the same style as the maid of honor and carried similar bouquets. Little Miss Krista Justen, daughter of the Robert Justens, was the -charming.^flower girl. She wore a dress styled of silk organza over taffeta, Which was similar to the dresses worn by the other attendants. * She carried a small nosegay bouquet and wore a headpiece styled like those of the bridesmaids. Master Mark Justen, brother Of the flower girl, acted as ring bearer. He carried a small satin pillow trimmed with lace, with a heart of lace on the top. Acting as best man for his friend was Ray Schlitt of McHenry. Dan Justen, a cousin of the groom and a friend, Leo Guenther of Mount Prospect, were groomsmen. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Olson chose a paler aqua lace sheath dre^s, styled with flattering bow of satin at the hip. She wore beige accessories. Mrs. Kent wore a gray print dress of silk and light green accessories. Both mothers wore white orchids. At 11 o'clock, a wedding breakfast was served to fourteen guests at the McHenry Country club. A reception for 175 guests was held there from 2 o'clock until 4:30. After a trip through the South, the newly married couple will reside in their new home in Kent Acres. , The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and after attending the university of Illinois, she has been engaged as a teacher in St. Mary's grade school in McHenry. The groom also graduated from the local high school and attended Loras college at Dubuque, Iowa. He is associated with Kent Corporation in McHenry.
