This is a finishing detail that has been on the agenda for some time, and it will come as'the first step to the removal of the library to this room to provide the additional classroom needed next fall in the present, library room. A wall running east and west constructed in the Lunchroom serving to partition off a room the width of the lunchroom, into which the library will be moved. Figures on the cost of treating the ceiling will all be in by the next board meeting, and if in line with anticipated cost, the work will probably begin. In projecting the swelling enrollment, the board anticipated the need of adding two new classrooms a year from now. Although, there would only be need for bne additional room a year, the new construction would probably add on in banks of two rooms at a time. Mr. Thomas reported that there will still be enough room in the pregent school „ busses to accommodate hext year's enrollment. The school board voted to pay the balance* over the contribution made by the P.T.A., for the purchase of a front curtain for the stage in the gymnasium. The curtain is expected to cost about $600 which will be roughly shared by the two contributing bodies. The board also moved to mount a plaque on the wall near the gym crediting the PTA with its part in the purchase. The curtain will' not be obtainable iir time for this year's graduation. Reviewing the financial statement the district was seen to be nicely in the black/with not one cent of June's taxes spent yet. ing the running census „ of preschool, age ..children in the community, ftlrs, Gladys Gustavson, HarrisoiY "School secretary, requests that new residents with pre-school age children call the school and register the child.
