In the middle of the lake they ran out of gas and had to be towed by another boat. Only thing, they were towed to the opposite side of the lake. Marilyn and George Lammert will spend the weekend in Chicago. Saturday Janquarts barbecued dinner for their lucky guests, the; Medines of Fox Lake. * Don Dobecki's folks from Indiana will be spending the weekend with them. They'll also get a look at the new fence Don has put up in his b a c k y a r d to k e e p Wanda home. Marcia and Eddie Dowd, the Barkers, Jr. and Sr., Carla and Jimmy Bkles, and friends spent Thursday on a picnic at Lake Benedict. Eight couples enjoyed a steak fry at Dolly and Ray Novotny's house Saturday evening. The couples brought their own steaks and another dish for the buffet table Cool liquid refreshments were served, and another good time wais had by Lois and Tom Mason, George and Marilyn VanZevern, Janand Dot Erbin, Carla and Jim Bales, Hazel and Dick Moriey, and Wanda and D6n Dobecki. Frank Krumweide is enjoying a week's Vacation, he will spend it painting and-taking Judy and the kiddies V&rious places. Ruth Lemmons was happy to have her dad; and Stepmother visit them last Saturday. Ruth had a very enjoyaible day.' Betty Warczak spent Monday in Berwyn .getting some more teeth fixed. Mary Madock was a guest of Jane Malek last Mortday. The children spent a njpe hap Py play time while the rpothers enjoyed a chat. Judy and Kay plainted strawberries last year and now are enjoying the fruits of their labor. Now that Dickie Moriey is over his chicken pox, his two brothers have them and also, Georgie VanZevern and .Ricky Madock. Let's hope by next week all these little guys will be fine again. I certainly hope so because two of the youngsters belong to me. Children shooting BBV guns^ were the topic of conversation last weekend down Meadow Lane way. Seems they were shooting at the lovely birds. A BB gun can be quite a dangerous thing around "small children such as .live on. Meadow Lane and I'm sure no one would, want to be .responsible for someone losing their eye sight because of the carelessness of another, so please keep the guns where they belong, not in a residential; area. Marilyn Lammert has taken a.job in Fox Lake for awhile. W h i l e s h e w o r k s h e r good friend and neighbor looks after Johnny and Kevin. Lorraine and Bob Hurckes and Pat and, Ron Jackson spent a pleasant time last Saturday night at a dance given by »the McHenry bseball league at the V.F.W. Steve Vrbik's folks were out and spent Father's Day visiting with Steve and Geri. Bob Hurcke's niece, Susa Baugous, is spending a. coup „ of weeks with Bob .and Lor*; raine. Lorraine has some fet male company for awhile. Kathy Mclnerney and Tom Fowler spent a nice day ii} Chicago. They went downtown' and had a nice lundi. Tom also presented Kathy w i t li some lovely birthday, presents. Some more chicken pox has come to the attention of this reporter. This time* they have come to Gregory and Douglas Mayer. Here's to a |peedy recovery kids. Jack Riley is on vacation and so far they have, gone to Aurora to see Kathryn's brother and his family and Jack took Jill, Honey ^nd Jill's girl friend to Riverview. On Father's Day Bob. and Lorraine Hurckes were yisited by Bob's folks from Chicago and Pat ahd Ron Jackson went to Chicago and visited their folks. Floyd Johnson is now on vacation, but Vi says she is going to have him working doubly hard at home. Mrs. Berg, a former resident, who has been visiting with the Pauly family, leaves Saturday for t Chicaigo. She had a busy time last week with lunch at the Dan Johnsons on Tuesday and a day on the island with the Horwicks. Bill and1 Marie Schlick are attending a birthday party Friday evening in Melrose Park. I'll bet they manage to get in some card playing, too. Bill and Ginny Dunnison from Lake Bluff were guests last Sunday of Steve and^Ceri Vrbik. It's A Girl Nan and Bill Baron of Ann street became the proud parents Saturday, June 14, of a 6 lbs. 2 ozs. baby girl born at Woodstock hospital. Congratulations.
