Everyone was very pleased with the way Sol and Helen organized and handled the many details involved in such a project. Speaking for all concerned, "thanks a million to you both. The races, games and prizes were excellent and kids and grownups alike joined in the fun. Several of the participants in the egg throwing contest had to go home for a change of clothes due to circumstances somewhat beyond their control. The grounds were magically transformed into a real picnic ijrove, due to the efforts of the kids with rakes, baskets and energy the week before. We have been asked by Sol Kobus and his committee to thank all the merchants and friends who very graciously donated gifts which, were used as prizes. Thanks also to the men and women who offered their services. And last but certainly not least, to all of you who came to the picnic with your guests, which, for the most part is what made it the huge success it turned out to be.
