The first game was played here last Thursday and was won by McHenry 7 to 6 when the, home boys started aiming for the fence. Pat Buckie, Bob (Sates, Paul Morenz and Billy DeCicco hit four homers in a row. The game at Crystal Lake Friday night was a 9 to 0 victory for McHenry. Jack Adams hit the only home run of the garrie land combined his pitching skill with Vem Petersen for a 3-hit shutout. Only three walks were issued. That's playing ball! Young Jack Arseneau started for Miller's Corners and looked real fast during his pitching stint. It was good to see Connie Miller hit the ball again. He always did look his best against the Tigers. This Sunday, the first place Tigers take on the McHenry Shamrocks in the Couifty League playoffs. The game will be played at johnsburg and promises to be a real thriller.
