There was a gab fest, card game, arid snacks served, Hope the gal from Wisconsin could find her wax out of the Highlands, but the new light oh Route 12 surely must' have helped. Art Bentz was cleaning the furnace when it blew up and he got singed on the eyebrows and eyelashes. Mark also got the side of his face singed. Marie Schlick is a busy gal canning and freezing foodstuffs. She has all the answers to any problems concerning the above. And you should taste her stuffed peppers! Out of this world. Marcia and Eddie Dowd were surprised to see newlyweds, Lenny and Jane Zelms, of Chicago, when they visited them Tuesdays-afternoon. Mr. Taylor went to the doctor, and found out he had been walking around with pneumonia. If Toots Spankuch says "Applesauce" to anyone, don't take her literally. She's been canning applesauce and more applesauce. Seems as though her Uncle Fred at Sunnyside Beach has more than his share of apples on his trees. Toots says the applesauce is de-licious! Thanks, Uncle Fred! The Roy Johnsons from Wenona, 111., will be weekend guests of Blanche and Carl Haefliger! We are sorry to hear the report that S. Wroblewski is nospitalized. He is undergoing tests at St. Therese's hospital at Waukegan. Hope to see him much improved soon! Jo Sinicin is now the block captain for Wanda Dobecki's section. Wayne Taylor Was discharg ed from the Army and came home Sunday. He will now just be in the Reserve. Bob and Giseld Heilquist entertained Mr. and Mrs. ,Greiner and her mother of Germany Saturday evening. They all enjoyed one of Gisela's delicious dinners. From there they went to Muriel Petersons, where they were surprised by a going away party for Mrs. Greiner's mother, who is going home to Germany. There was a pinochle game at the Misavice home Monday afternoon. Present were Ann Szyplebaum, Audrey's mother, Mrs. Ozweiler, Toots Spankuch, and of course, Audrey. Who won? You "know the pnswer, Audrey, of course! The Bentz family enjoyed dinner at Whitewater, Wis. with Myrtle's sister, Sunday. The Taylors had a mighty busy weekend.
