B^oy Scouts Troop ,161 V.F.W. troop 161 had a very fine turn-out . for its annual charter presentation held last Monday. Many parents and interested adults were in attendance. Ricky Foss acted as master of ceremonies as; Skip Schuerr welcomed the audience and also gave a fine re,? port on the past troop activities. Recognition was given to the adults who were Mr. Beahier, Mr. Para, Mr. Lubke, Mr.v Bitterman, Mr. Foss, Mr. Kloepr fer and scout master Cliff Todd. The commander o'f the V.F.W. and the past commander said many words of praise to the scoutmaster, Clifford Todd, for the fine job he has done in organizing the troop. The charter was presented by neighborhood, commissioner Linn Stewart. Also in attendance was Hugh Kirk who id responsible for drafting our Scoutmaster into scouting in this area. The scoutmaster, Cliff Todd, gave a fine talk to the parents. This past Sunday the troop took a hike to the McHenry dam state park, along the way everyone was thrilled with the abundance of nature along the country roads.
