Sick List We were very happy to hear that Harold Slove has completely recovered and is back at work after undergoing surgery a couple of weeks ago. Harold had his tonsils removed and an operation on one of his fingers. Marge has also been down with the flu but has now fully recovered. Don Cisewski made a rush trip to the McHenry hospital on Monday evening, Nov. 17, when he injured his thumb in the car door. We were glad to hear that there were no broken bones and no stitches required. Randy Penick has now fully recovered after a bout with the mumps and David Garrelts is back on his feet after a bout with the flu. Poor Randy Priester has been ill on and off for a couple of weeks with an infection that has travelled from the eyes to the ears and throat. Hope you are better by now, Randy. Welcome New Neighbors Welcome to the Marlin Kilroy family and the Melvin Iverson family. The Kilroy family moved into the home at 125 Manor Lane that was formerly owned by -.-the Martin faftiily, and th£ Ivt^rson family moved into their new home at 138 Mill Lane. They had it standing along side of their garage as they were planning to return it as it was defective, and when Hugh went out to get it, it was gone. The tornado warnings really sent people scurrying for cover. Everyone who had a basement ended up with a full house and we certainly want to thank all the basement owners for their wonderful cooperation. Several of the gals got together on the' morning of Nov. 10 for a surprise birthday party at the home of Nancy Lessard, in honor of Pat Kellogg. Present were Mim Hanson, Carol Hayes, Helen Mathes, Hannah Harner, Doris Shaw, Rita Simpson and Marilyn Fultz. The girls all enjoyed a late breakfast of coffeecake, rolls and coffee; The Coughlin family' spent the weekend of Nov. 8 in Muskegon, Mich., where they attended the wedding of Pat's brother, Jim Geraty and Ann Blair. Helen Birmingham, along with Theresa and Margie, spent the weeked of Nov. 15 in Chicago visiting at the home of Helen s mother, Mrs. Margaret Deasy. The members of the Faith Presbyterian church choir all banned together after choir practice on Tuesday evening, Nov. 18 for a Surprise birthday party for Jack Mclntyre at the home of Helen and Dan Math- Mary Hadley, Doris Shaw, Mim Hansen, Carol Hayes, Nancy Lessard, Marilyn Fultz, Rita Sifnpson and Marie Dalton all got together for coffee and cake at the Fultz home on Tuesday, Nov. 18, to celebrate Hannah Harner's birthday. Elmer Urban's folks, the Wenzel Urbans of Chicago, arrived on Wednesday, Nov. 12, for a four day visit' at the Urban home. The Lessard and Alford families enjoyed a game of Tripoli at the Alford home on Saturday evening, Nov. 15. The Pickett family had quite a crowd oh' Sunday, Nov. 16 when three families dropped by for a visit. Present were My. and Mrs. H. E. Burke of Lake Zurich, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Watkins and family of .Fox Lake Hills, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cruver of Round Lake. Doris Shaw and Mim Hansen enjoyed a day of shopping when their school chum, Mrs. Joe; Gibler of Rockford, picked them up on Saturday morning, Nov. 15. They drove to Bannockcock, III., where they picked up another former school chum, Carol Heth, -and they all travelled to Skokie for lunch and shopping. Mrs. Gibler was a house guest at the Shaw home that evening. Hannah Harner and Marilyn Fultz also journeyed to Skokie for a shopping spree the same day. A few of the girls of our subdivision enjoyed a demonstration at the home of Lee Landin on Wednesday evening, Nov. 12. Pre Lindemann's brother-inlaw, Bert Bertucci of Highwood took Pre and the children to Milwaukee on Friday, Nov. 14 for a luncheon. Then on Saturday Pre's brother and his family, the Riley McGranes, along with her mother, Mrs. Michael McGrane, arrived in our subdivision for a weekend at the Lindemann home. Eileen Noonan and eleven other students of McHenry high school journeyed to Hinsdale on Saturday, Nov. 15. The spent the entiie day there/as representatives of their school at the Future Teachers of American Northern Illinois workshop. Jim is an electronics engineer with a research laboratory in Morton Grove, and also attends Lake Forest college one night each week, where he is studying calculus. Dee and Jim are the proud parents of Randy, who will be 6 in December, Kathy, who was 4 in May, and Michael who will be 3 in Februaryt Dee reports that both of them enjoy watching television and relaxing in their spare time and that Jim loves to cook. Anytime he finds an unusual dish in his travels he enjoys whipping it up. Dee spent most of her life in the Cincinnati area before moving to Illinois, and Jim is a native of Baton Rouge. La. The Francis Pickett family of 132 Clover Lane moved into their home on Oct. 21, 1956. Francis is a welder for a company that manufactures excavating tractors. Margaret and Francis have two daughters. Delores, the eldest, is 7 years old today, and Debbie was 4 years old in September. Both Margaret and Francis enjoy bowling and cards and Fraficis also enjoys tinkering with cars.
