^grsfoy, January IS, gfcigwopd k> Nonagenarian Dies in Waupaca Ruby Shepard 1959 THE McHENRY PLAINDEALER Page Thirteen Thorwaldt Nelson of Waupaca, Wis., father of Mrs. Ken- Cristy passed away at his home in Waupaca, Jan. 5. Mr. Nelson came to thiis country from Denmark in 1863. He reached the grand old age of 97. His wife passed away in 1943 at the age of 85. He leaves eight children, twenty-three grandchildren and , fifty-three great grandchildren. One grandchild, the son of the Kenneth Cristy, was the only death i4Khe family. ^ Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Holly funeral home at Waupaca with burial at Waupaca. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cristy, Kenneth Cristy, Jr., Mrs. William Cristy and John Cristy, grandchildren of Mr. Nelson, attended services from here. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cristy sngnt from Wednesday until f¥Iday evening there. 500 Club Miss Lona Brever entertained the Women's 500 club.^at the home of Mrs. Ruby Shepard Wednesday. A one o'clock dessert luncheon was served. High score went to Mrs. Lester Carr and low to Mrs. Oscar Berg. || Round Vp Club The Round Up club met at the John Hogan home Saturday evening. All went bowling and then back to the Hogan home where Rev. and Mrs. John Eddy and Mr. and Mrs. Hogan served refreshments. Saturday afternoon and evening with Mrs. Ruby Shepard. Mrs. William Cruickshank was a Sunday dinner guest in thet. Francis Costello home at Hartland. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Butler spent Sunday afternoon in the Harold Stanek home at Elkhorn, Wis. Mrs. Paul Norman of Glenview spent Wednesday with her mother, Mrs. Ben Walkington. Mr. and Mrs. William Heine of Chicago and Rev. and Mrs. James McChesney were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Ruby Shepard. Mrs. John Hogan attended a 4-H county board meeting and also a baby shower for the assistant Home Advisor, Mrs. Jean Pless, at Crystal Lake, Tuesday. Mrs. Leo Smith and Mrs. John- Hogan went to Chicago Wednesday and saw a stage play. Linda, Patty and Donna Low, Ida Mae Walkington, Mrs. John Hogan and daughter, Pat, attended a county recreation meeting for the 4-H at the Methodist church in Woodstock Monday evening.
