The C.F.M. meetings, which take place every two weeks, follow a definite pattern. Fifteen minutes each.are devoted to the discussion of the scripture and liturgy followed by forty-five minutes of social inquiry. At the last meeting the C.F.M. couples discussed the Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25, 14-21). The liturgy discussion was about the meaning of Palm Sunday--the victory of Christ over the hearts of men; Hold Thursday--the institution of the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Priesthood; and Good Friday--the Chrisit died for our sins, His victory over sin and the reopening of the gates of heaven for the children of God. The social inquiry topic was money management. The practical aspects of finances in the family were considered--questions like: Is it better for one person to manage family money or should both husband and wife share the responsibility; what should be the immediate and final result of managing family income; What can we do to "study economy" and cut down expenses? After everyone presented his views the group decided that husband and wife should discuss means of stretching their income. At the end of the meeting the chaplain of the group answers any questions which may have arisen during the discussion and the meeting is closed with a prayer and the chaplain's blessing.
