Plans will be-discussed for future events. An institute will be held at Christ the King church on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Miss Nora Le Tcyneau. N.C.C.W. representative will conduct the entire institute. Everyone is welcome to attend this institute. Ladies Aid of Methodist Church Meet The Ladies Aid society held a meeting in their new building on March 25. Mrs. Frances Shotliff was hostess. Election officers was held, new ofxi^- s for the coming' year are Dorothy Johnson, president; Doris Kephart; vice-president; Frances Shotliff, secretary; Lollie Class, treasurer. A bake sale was planned and will be held in the Spring Grove fire house on Saturday, April 4. Come in and buy your goodies for the weekend. . Funeral services were held at Arlington Heights on Tuesday at 2 p.m. some of their children and grandchildren home for Easter, the Robert Sutton family and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Larson, Jr., and son, Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. John Skidmore of Ringwood visited friends in town. Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Jordan and family of Sharon, Wis., were visitors in the Math Nimsgern home and also had dinner with the Lawrence Nimsgern family in McHenry. Easter Guests Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Miller on Easter were Mr. and Mrs. El- CFM Meets At Spring Grove -E\en though the children of some of the C.F.M. couples were sick .at the time of the last C.F.M. meeting, quite a few couples were able to attend the meeting at the home of Bill and Virginia Thornton on Saturday, March 15. The meeting was led by A1 Gort. The scripture section of the meeting from Acts 2, 44-45 dealt with the communal life of the early Christians. With the meeting so close to the Easter seasan the liturgical" portion of the meeting-, was devoted to Eastertide. Recently there has been tin appeal for usable used religious articles--such as statues, rosaries, pictures, medals and the like--for the Catholics of Viet Nam. The C.F.M. in the various parishes throughout the Rockford diocese are sponsoring this project. Any religious articles to be donated may be placed in the vestibule of St. Peter's church Spring Grove. The articles donated will be taken to the diocesan convention of the C.F.M. at Rockford on Sunday, April 19, where, they will be blessed by the bishop and packed and shipped to Viet Nam. Insufficient funds have brought many a pleasant occasion " to an abrupt conclusion.
