You can show a little appreciation for the wonderful job these fellows do. by purchasing a couple of tickets. Music and refreshments will be available throughout the evening so why not join in on the fun and come •on over to the community club hall next Saturday evening. St. John's P.T.A. The Sisters and members of St. John's P.T.A met in the community club hall last Monday. Father Rueland of SI. Mary's was present to deliver a most interesting talk on vocations. At the end of Father Uueland's talk a regular meeting was called to, order. The new slate of officers for. next season will be as follows. Catherine Frederick as president. Dorothy Adams as vice-president; Lil Niemic as secretary and Dorothy Whiting as treasurer. The forty-seven members who were present c* this meeting voted on tne various posters on vocations which were hung on the walls of the hall. The posters were drawn by children of our school. The extended to Mrs. Johnston of Hiller's subdivision whose mother passed away last week. The. Johnston family was in Chicago on Thursday to attend the final vites. Civic Duty May I lake this opportunity to remind you of the election coming up next Tuesday, April 7. It is the duty of every eligible voter to get out and vote. Polling place for this vicinity is at the Community club hall. Around the Town Dick Hiller left his college studies to spend several days visiting his parents, the George Killers for Easter. Guests in the Richard Dehn home on Easter Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. John Doetsch and family of Bristol. Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Art Kattner and daughter of Spring Grove, Mr. and Mrs. William May and sons and Mrs Catherine Freund. The Paul Boyk family sperr several days visiting at the Ed Ilettermann home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Fisher and son spent the Easter holiday vacationing in Missouri. Carl Bugner. who was recently discharged from Fort Lewis, Wash., upon completion of a two year army hitch, spent last weekend visiting at the Arnold Michels home. Johnsburg Boys League The 1959 season for the Johnsburg bevs league will begin with a meeting on Wednesday. April 8 at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be held in the community club hall. Parents interested in having their bovs play in the league are invited to attend. Applications for admission to Mr. and Mrs. Don Dowe of Bloomington, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith, Jim Hettermann and daughters, and Carol Ann Stilling were Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Helen Hctterir. rnn. Girl Scouts and Brownie News Troop 135 practiced a skit at their last meeting which they will present at the Father and Daughter banquet later in April. Troop 408 presented a skit and worked on badges at theii recent meeting. Mrs. Hild.i Thelen served refreshments to both of these troops. Troop 295 started making corsages for the forthcoming Mother and Daughter tea. Carol Ann Dehn and Nancy Kenney distributed cookie treats to the rest of the troop Troop 378 completed their Easier purses and took them home. The girls helped Frances Klolz celebrate her eighth birlhday. Frances^treated the girls to candy and cookies. Welcome "Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schafei were Chicago callers lasi Thursdav. Returning with them was Mi\ Schafer's father, Frank J. Schafer. 86, who had just returned from a month's trip to Florida. He has been residing in the Schafer home.. Also accompanying them to their Johnsburg residence was Mrs. Schafer's father, Nick Weber. who will spend two weeks 1 here. Last Thursday, the Schafers" daughter, Joyce, left on an Easter vacation trip to New Orleans, La. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Grube of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs Art Watzner and family of Grayslake were Sunday dinner guests of Joe and Clara Adams. Ethel Nell received her birthday wishes in New Jersey on March 27. Walter Smith had reason to celebrate on March 31--it was his ? birthday.
