Your leader has come to our village and will give his faithful followers a few final facts of fantastic fallacious fatuity. Man, our leader, has made plans to expose a recent spelling see contest in which it is strongly rumored that a fix was in, and man the whole crazy beatnik world has been flapping their kmgs. While conformists are vracome, believers who are the re&r gone folks, will be recognized by their sweaters and •sweatshirts, which will be the real gone dress for the evening of the eighteenth of April. The cool cellar will be mopped by that long time lover of the crazy good times, Eddie BeBop Lehman. His real gone mate is making with the ever loving calories, and the nectur will flmv for all you suds lovers. Don't miss this racket of radical rallying for raving recluses and righteous romantic rogues. You won't have to wear your mink coats or red flannels to keep warm this time. The Lehmans want to apologize for it being so cold last time. The reason was that their furnace sn't working and it was a Sd thing they fourid it out before they went to bed otherwise they would have had a house full of sick ones. So don't forget and come out for the social and have a pleasant evening with your neighbors. Our Home Bureau is sponsoring a rummage and white elephant sale at Jean Leakey's garage- on the black top on April 25 at 9 a.m. All of you neighbors from all over who have many things you don't want, especially if your spring cleaning is done, they will be appreciated ahd will be cheerfully picked up by members, so won't you call either of these numbers for pick-up service-- 2624-M or 1654-W. Birthday Greetings To Jeaniejo Bennoche had a birthday on April 1 and her dad had his the fourth Betty Lehman had her ???? birthday on the ninth. Anniversary Congratulations to Armin and Sylvia Obstfelder whose sixteenth anniversary was April 9. Wedding Thrills The Bennoche girls were a very important part of their Aunt Ruth's bridalparty last Saturday. Susan was a flower girl in a beautiful orchid dress made by the skillful hartds of her mother, Jean and Jeaniejo was a junior bridesmaid dressed in blue. A wonderful time was had at the reception afterwards. Sympathy Our condolences go to the Niemiec family upon the death in Chicago of Alex Niemiec's brother, Henry. Home Bureau Fishing Season Well the sun is trying to shine and I know the fish are biting and I'm afraid it will cause a lot of hard feelings too instead of fun. We have put up some "No Trespassing" signs and I hope they serve the purpose they are supposed to. Those of us along the channel try to keep our property clean and holler at our own children to stay off of newly planted grass but it seems when you tell others they call you an old grouch. I'm not saying all people, grown-ups and children alike, are bad but there are those who have no respect for other people's property. So I guess, no matter how hard we try not to have any, there will be some hard feelings, for which I'm sorry but that's the way the wind blows. Lingering Remembrance I know the following boys were real proud that they were allowed to assist at the 11:30 Mass when the Most Rev. Loras T. Lane, the Bishop of Rockford, celebrated it. The boys, Neil Freund, Ted Freund, Lloyd * Smith," Joel and David Himpelmann, Phillip Oeffling and my son, Fred, did a fine job and by this time their knees should be through shaking. Insufficient funds have brought many a pleasant occasion to an abrupt conclusion. o ANOTF THORP SALE DAN POWERS -- Auctioneer Having decided to discontinue farming the undersigned will sell on the farm located 3% miles Southeast of Richmond, IVa miles Southwest of Spring Grove, Vz mile Southeast of Solon Mills on Highway 12 on TUESDAY, APRIL 21st. 1959 at 10:00 O'clock Sharp 45 Head Angus Cattle 4) 18 Angus Cows, bred; 12 Bred Heifers; 13 feeder Steers and Heifers; 2 Calves; 1 P.B. 2 year old Bull. , EQUIPMENT -- A.C. A large percentage of accidental deaths and injuries among children are directly traceable to inattention, even negligence, on the part of parents, according to the Institute for Safer Living of a leading insurance company. Chances of this neglect increase during spring months when added household and other activities claim more attention from parents.
