Thursday, June 11, 1959 THE McHENRY PLAINDEALER Pag» Nineteen Lakeland Park HOLD CARNIVAL FOR BENEFIT OF LAKELAND BEACH V#kie Bottari--22G2-J - 1524-J The time has finally come "Carnival time" when we can again get loads of goodies, take in lots of rides and all the different booths that will be on hand for the young and old. The carnival starts tonight afid will run through to the fourteenth. Let's all make it to tlte fair grounds as often as can and make this a real success just as our other carnivals have been only this time more so because our beachesneed a lot of fixing up and, you know this is the main source of. the beach committee to make money for the beaches, and I know you all like1 to have both pleasant and safe beaches at which you can have fiw and not be in any danger. ~>ri Garbage Burning I have had several complaints in the past week from people that some of you are burning garbage. Please do not do this as the odor is very offensive and besides that' you are paying for scavenger service and since you are allowed two - thirty gallon drums to dispose of your garbage each week I am almost sure that burning it is entirely uncalled for. From now on how about just burning paper and cardboard boxes and no garbage. S™again let's get to the carnival grounds and have a good time and help raise funds.
