Recent Federal and State approval of two new pipelines is an important step toward substantial increase in the supply available for next winter's heating season. We, at Northern Illinois Gas Company, are very pleased that developments are taking place more rapidly thai\^we anticipated a year or so ago. We know that many who seek this most desirable, low-cost fuel for heating will also be gratified. Because, since 1946, the supply of gas has been limited, it has been necessary to restrict its use for heating to single family dwellings. Now it appears possible to make gas heating available to multi-unit dwellings and to small businesses and industries in the area we serve. If you wish to be eligible for a gas heat permit, it would be advantageous to make your request promptly. All installations must be authorized by our Company. Apply in writing (use the convenient coupon below) or visit our nearest office. NORTHERN I L I .
