It was a seesaw battle from the start with the Tigers scoring the first run in the second on a triple by John Huff, followed by a double by Tom Oeffling. Besko had 2 Perfect sailiftf*^weather this past weekend helped to make the eleventh annual Okauchee- Pistakee regatta one of the most successful on record. Ten visiting boats from Okauchee Lake Y&cht club of Wisconsin competed with our sailors in two races on Saturday and one on Sunday. A luncheon was served by the women's, auxiliary on Saturday giving the skippers, their crews and all the sail watchers strength for the second race. That evening a cocktail party for the- sailors and their guests was held at the club house, Bimbo's' followed by a delicious roast off , beef dinner and dancing. Against Kenosha earlier in the week, Dick Drafz and Terry Britz teamed up to hold j Kenosha to one run and seven j hits. The Tigers scored their first of nine runs in the third on a double by Lloyd Freund. Freund stole third, Dick Hiiler walked and on the double steal Hiiler went to second and Freund scored. The game was tied until the eighth when Huemann walked, Leon Schmitt hit safely followed by singles by Britz and Madden with Huemann and Schmitt scoring. They put the game on ice in the top of the ninth on a couple of walks and several hits. The team really wanted i to win this one and it proved to be a good game. Mielenz will have to wear the old 'fore and 'aft commodore hat and Pistakee will have to display the Jack-Ass trophy in their case for another year.
