Lilymoor Association In Busy Meeting By Nancy Hitter EVergreen 5-5889 The meeting of the Lilymoor association was called to order at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the little white schoolhouse. The first item on the agenda was road conditions. Gravel is beeing put on the roads where needed. It was also stated at the meeting that anyone who didn't pay their association dues wouldn't have their garbage picked up, effective as of Sept. 9. According to the by-laws each person is given a sixty day grace period in which to pay their dues. Anyone wishing to ,4oin the association, the dues are eighteen dollars per year and this includes fixing of roads and garbage disposal. Plans for a? Halloween dance were also discussed at the meeting. - \ . The next association meeting will be held Oct. 13 at the little white schoolhouse. Brownie Rei The Brownie >m)op of Lilymoor will hold/its first meeting for the year on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. at the little white schoolhouse. The Krumwiede family spent Sunday in Bensonville helping t o c e l e b r a t e M r . a n d M r s . Krumwiede's granddaughter's fourth birthday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buttorph. Miss Janice Scheuler spent the last of August in Chicago wit limner cousin, Karen Rose. Karen and Janice both returned to Lilymoor the following week and Karen stayed in Lilymoor for another week before returning hom£ again to the city. Miss Dianna Belford , attended a birthday party honoring Vicki Varese of Orchard Beach, on Tuesday. Dianna spent that night with Vicki and attended the circus with the Varese family. f Mi^and Mrs. Earl Belford [ as their weekend guest, Donald Cutler, enroute from Santa Monica, Calif., to Boston, Mass. Don. who once lived in Lilymoor and still owns a home here, moved from Illinois three years ago. Also spending Sunday in Lilymoor were friends from Galva. 111.. Mr. Belford's home town. It was the Collinsons first visit at the Belfords residence. Miss Pamelt Reskey and Edward Kanwiseher, both of Chicago, also spent the Sunday with the Belfords. Mr. Kanwiseher. Mr. Cutler, Mr. Collinson and Mr. Belford were all classmates at the University of Illinois. There four had quite a reunion since they hadn't been together in twelve years. To add to the gaiety of the affair Miss Reskey and Mr. Kanwiseher surprised everyone by announcing their engagement. Arriving for coffee were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson and children, now of Westmont but formerly of Galva where Mr. Thompson knew these friends too. A bonfire attracted quite a few of the residents, who with no work the following day, came down to enjoy the accordion playing of B$>b Poggensee. Singing and dancing prevailed, a grand time was had by all. Labor Day found the beach crowded with picnickers, bathers and a lot of the men taking advantage of the horseshoe pits to get in shape for the contest , that will be held this weekend. Fred Stark and Jack Schmitt are still taking registrations for this affair. and Mrs. Larry Hicks, dropped in on her parents while enroute from San Francisco to Boston where Joan is a teacher. Mrs. Hicks also reports that their son, Don, has recently graduated from the Radio Command School in Norfolk. The Tanners had weekend company again. Evey's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. H. Moss, were over from Toledo, Ohio, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Wolf, plus their old neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. A. I.ott with son, Ricky, from Mt. Prospect. Evey is glad that summer is about over so that the weekend visitors will taper off. Visits and Visitors Mr. and Mrs. R.
