(ADVERTISEMENT) FREE RUG-SHAMPOO DEMONSTRATION AT ED'S RENTAL, INC. Something new and different --something which should interest every homemaker---is the rug-shampoo demonstration which will be held at Ed's Rental, Inc., 704 Front street, McHenry, every Friday night during the month of October. The demonstrations will be held between 7 and 9 p.m., and the public is cordially invited to attend. ED THENNES In addition, there will be prizes and refreshments. There is a rapidly growing trend toward "do-it-yourself" carpet care. The average homemaker is becoming increasingly aware of the fact that she can clean her own carpet with excellent results and at the same time enjoy a substantial saving. Several companies have introduced both liquid and dry type carpet cleaners, and various applicators to meet this demand. There is one drawback to most of these products, however. There is only one professional way to clean a carpet on location in the home and that is through the use of a liquid type cleaner and an electric, rotary brush machine. Other methods simply cannot produce the necessary quality of cleaning. Any professional carpet cleaning firm will substantiate this fact. No special training is needed to operate the machine offered at the local store. Complete operating instructions are included in the folder given with each rental. Be sure to stop some Friday night and see the demonstration at Ed's Rental. You are sure to be pleased with what can be accomplished with this new, modern equipment.
