Make it "macaroni and" this fall, and to launch the celebration, here's a favorite spaghetti with beef sauce from the National Macaroni Institute. SAVORY BEEF SAUCE WITH SPAGHETTI (Makes 4-6 servings) 2 tablespoons butler or margarine <|0 l pound ground beef chuck /« cup chopped onions 1 4-ounce can sliced mushrooms 1 10 Vs-ounce can condensed tomato soup Vt cup water % teaspoon salt Dash celery salt Dash freshly ground pepper 1 tablespoon salt 3 quarts boiling water 8 ounces spaghetti Melt butter or margarine over medium heat. Add beef and brown well. Add onions and cook until tender. Add mushrooms, soup, water, % teaspoon salt, celery salt and pepper. Mix well and cook over low heat 15 minutes. Meanwhile, add 1 tablespoon salt to rapidly boiling water. Gradually add spaghetti so that water continues to boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until tender. This procedure is necessary because of the limited space available in the Centennial building to store plates.
