Mrs. Daisy Motter, 53, who died in McHenry hospital on Saturday, Nov. 28. Mrs. Motter. who resided with the Donkels, had been in poor health for some time. Services wefe held in Acacia Park Evangelical Lutheran I church with interment in Memorial Park. Tn addition to her sister, Mrs. Motter is survived by a brother. George Maronde. treatment. It will be a wonderful Christmas for the kids to have momma home with them. Ladies Will Meet The Ladies of the Lake will meet tonight at S p.m. in the beachhouse. At this time, plans will he made for the Christmas party which will be held next Thursday". Dec. 17. A real grand time is planned by and for the women so consider vourself invited! Ho had recently suffered a heart attack and they were thrilled tt> see him looking so well. George returned to his home last week. Another out-of-state visitor was Ole Fotland who hails from New Hampshire. He dropped in for a little chat at the Theodor Olsen residence to see Ingeborg who has been convalescing some five weeks with a broken foot. Poor ma and her fragile bones! Store Will Close After eight years of dispensing foodstuffs. Lottie Piotrowski is taking a much needed rest! She will close the grocery store on Sunday. Dec. 20 and will not reopen until around the first of March. Running^ a store is hard work (as this reporter knows! Remember the Jake-Will Food Shop?) and Hospitalized Last Week Frank Godina of Lakeland subdivision underwent surgery on both legs at McHenry hospital last week. He was discharged on Thursday? and according to the latest report, he is recovering nicely. Sorry to report that Mr. and Mrs. Harold Michels of Beach View and Orchard Drive lost their expected child last week. Lil was hospitalized in McHenry for a couple of days. She is home now and doing very well. ADMINISTER CADET TEST DECEMBER 9 United States Air Force representatives will administer the aviation caclet screening test to those interested at Elgin Community college, 353 E. Chicago street. Dec. 9, at 4 i Sgt. Morris L. Raines, Air Air Force recruiter. j Young men who are at least high school graduates, between 19 and 26% years old, and in good physical condition may take the test. Those who take the examination are in no way obligated to the Air Force. Persons making a passing score will be eligible to apply tor trainings Applicants who are selected will enter the Cadet pre-fjight school at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for three months of training. From there the navigator trainee moves on to complete a thirty week course and qualify for his wings and commission. The pilot takes six months of pribasic flight course to earn his silver wings and commission. Successful campletion of either program leads to the Wings of a flying officer, a commission of Second Lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve, and Aeronautical rating of pilot or navigator. Interested young men should contact Sgt. Raines at the post day between the hours of 12 and 2:30 p.m., or visit the office at 8 S. Spring street, in Elgin.
