The kitchen is now available to. the ways.and means committee to warm the wieners and prepare them foi serving during the lunch periods. The P.T.A. hopes to meet its budget with the profit from the saw of hot dogs this year, even though getting-off to a late sta^t because the addition to the school ..was not finished on time. Stratton has disposed that average automobile insurance rates in Illinois will drop in I960; to bring about a saving of more than $4,715,000 in dollar cost to motorists of the state. The reductions, contained in rate schedules filed with Director Joseph S. Gerbervof the State Department of Insurance, mark the first time since 1945 there has been| an average statewide decrease in automo-v bile liability and property dam/ age rates. ' / In commenting on the reductions at his press conference, Gov. Stratton observed that the schedules filed reflect a drop in claims and a drop in cost per claim in Illinois in the year of 1958, the.first full,year of the intensive traffic .safety program enacted at the request of Governor Stratton in 1957.
