CROSSING Eve Levesque Automatic flashing light signals have been ordered installed at the McCullom Lake j-oad crossing by the Illinois Commerce commission according to an tiem which appeared in the Sunday issue of the Chicago Tribune- Neighborhood News section. The item further stated that the Crossing had been declared "extra' hazardous" and the protection will be installed within one year. A fervent prayer" that no further accidents, will occur before the flashing^iknal lights have been installed. Two Villagers Lose Family Members * Max Nathanson. 93, the father of Sam < Nathanson of Hickory Drive, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18 about 1 a.m. He had been ill with pneumonia for about two weeks, and this was given as the cause of death. Serxices were held in a Chicago, chapel on Tuesday at 2, p.m. with interment at Waldheim cemetery. In addition to Sam, the survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Rose Moltz of Chicago, and sons. Jacob and Harry, also of Chicago and Abe of Los Angeles. Mr. Nathanson' came to this country in 1900 and was a pioneer in the manufacturing of ladies wash dresses. He established his industry in Chicago where he' lived all of his life. Condolences to Mrs. Nettie Liacus on the death of hei brother, Frank Patterson of Onarga, 111., which occurred or Sunday morning. Services were scheduled for yesterday. Wednesday, in Onarga. Mr. Patterson's wife preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Charles, daughter. Barbara. and two sisters. Nettie of McCullom • Lake and Mi s. Vesta Palmer of Watseka, 111. Mr. Patterson^ had been a petty officer in the Navy for sixteen years. About ten years ago, he received a medical discharge. During this last period he was in and out of the hospital on many different occasions? A full military funeral was planned which Mrs. Liacus attended. --X - Visits Patient--Becomes One! Sorry to relate that Frank Parkhurst who planned to visit his mother-in-law. Mrs. Iva Moorehead, at McHenry hos- • pital, ended up as a patient himself on Sunday. Frank had been in pain on Sunday, and was gojng to consult with the doctor. He was still in oxygen as of Monday morning, but he di(J call his wife, Virginia, which relieved her mind. As you may not know, Ginny was recently discharged from- the hospital herself and must remain in a cast for almost five nionths! i.eems as though "it. never rains, but what it pours". Frank also informed his ever lovin' that her mother was being moved "by ambulance to the Villa rest home'in Pistakee Ray on Monday. Mrs. Moorehead is 75. Walt j checked into Weiss Memorial | hospital in Chicago on Jan. 17 and went under the knife on the twentieth. His wife and daughter were delighted to hear that he could come home on Thursday. Seems as though he heals quick. Walt must report back to the hospital for a couple of che,ck-ups and is not scheduled to return to his daily labors until Feb. 18. This is the release date given by the doctor. Weiss Memorial is the same hospital in Urhich daughter. Jean Anne, took her ^training as an x-ray technician before her marriage. Welcome Home To Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kuper who have established residence in the Chuck Brocken home on East Lane. Mrs. Kuper is the' former Elaine Vycital^Nelson and she and her husband had been living in Salem. Wis.1 Their first "social in their new home was a birthday party for daughter.
