Cab Scout News Pack 861 At the regular monthly meeting of the Cub Scouts of Pack 361, the following boys received awards: Den 4, Ray Barle received his lion badge and a gold arrow and Ray Bottari was awarded his lion badge. Billy Krater of Den 7 received his silver arrow. Cub Graduation Alan Raiford was graduated from Cub Scout Den. 7, Pack 361 last Thursday night at the pack meeting. To receive him in the Boy Spouts were M. De- Voss and two of his Boy Scouts. A very impressive ceremony was put on by the Scouts and their Scout leader and Alan, I'm sure, will make as good a Boy Scout as he always did a Cub Scout. Congratulations Alan and may you enjoy every minute of scouting as you did cubbing, and both Mrs. Krater and myself, your Den Mothers, wish you lots of luck. Hospital Drive Thank you one and all for the reception given the folks collecting for ou'r local hospital. The hard working committee was headed by Mrs. Bebe Leone. Area captains were Bucaro, Jerry Wagner, 'Gift dia Garn, Vickey Bottari, Joyce Braun, Dorothy Meineke and Pat Gelwicks. Workers were Mary Baric, Anna Leone, Betty Bockman, Irene Koehl, John Gelwicks, Ruth Roach, Cub Scouts Pack 454 Pack 454 had their Blue and Gold banquet on Feb. 28 in the community house. There was a fine turnout and lovely decorations by all four dens. It was a pleasure to to able to use the community facilities and Mrs. Jerry Wagner and Mrs. Dorothy Garrison wish to thank the LPPOA for the use of the hall. Len Stuart, Cubmaster, presented the following awards to Den 4: Steve Crisuolo a gold arrow; Victor Crisuolo his Bobcat pin; David Garrison Gold arrow and Bear Badge; Mike Males - Wolf badge, gold arrow and two silver arrows; Forest Viita - Bear gold arrow and a denner's stripe. Den 4 had 100 per cent award representation and a display of various electives and achievements were shown. Last Wednesday afternoon despite the blowing snowstorm Lyda Radisch, Fran Cina, Jean Parisi. Jo Rizzo and Vickey Bottari met at the home of fellow committee member Dolores Rogers to make plans for our coming luncheon to be held on April 28 in our community house and our next welcome party to be* held on April 21. The tickets for the luncheon are now on sale and can be purchased from any of the above mentioned and also from Jean Gagnon and Louise Mc- Enery who were unable to attend the meeting. Bridge The ladies of the Tuesday night bridge club met March 15 at the home of Ann Herzqg. Present were Berniece Boyce, Ivy Lezak, Joyce JBraun, Louise McEnery, Lucille Dietz and Gayle Laursen. This was Gayle's first evening out since her recent hospital sojurn. She celebrated in high style by winning second prize. First prize was taken by Louise MCEnery. To turn the evening into a gala affair, birthday gifts were given to Ann Leigh who celebrated March 4, Ann Herzog who claims March 8 and Lucille Dietz who celebrated March 11. They all received terrycloth dish towels -- so will have no excuse for avoiding dish washing for a while. • Surprises The doorbell rang and in walked not only the guests invited for a quiet evening of bridge, but also two more couples laden with all sorts of goodies and surprises. The bridge game turned into pinochle with the boys pitted against the girls and the quiet evening well? The occasion was a birthday party for Ann and Bill Herzog whose birthdays fell on March 8 and 9. Sunday Visitors Sunday, March 13, was visiting- day at Don and Veretta Gerstad's with Toot's brothers and their families coming for a visit. First in line were Mr. and Mi's. R. L. His painting was done in pastel, his subject "Castle". Congratulations Kemjy. St. Patrick's Party The luncheon and card party held at St. Peter's parish hall was well attended. Approximately 200 ladies attended the affair and enjoyed the afternoon at cards. Potted plants were the prizes and one plant was given away to'each table. Many other prizes were given the guests.
