Lake) 1289 McHENRY MOTHERS TO ATTEND SPECIAL UNIVERSITY EVENTS Two mothers from McHlnry will be guests of their sons when they attend Campus Mothers Day weekend at the University of Illinois. Events of the weekend include scholastic and military honors presentations, introduction of the May queen, spring musical, "Guys and Dolls," University theater production, "You Never Can Tell," and many others. Coming to the campus from McHenry are Mrs. . Clifford Kiehl, whose son, Clifford, is a member of Beta Sigma Psi fraternity, and Mrs. He 1 e n Meyers, Rt. 2, whose son, Charles, is a member ot Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. VIRGINIA COOPER, JAMES HUNT WED LAST SATURDAY Rev. James McChesney, Jr., officiated at the 5 o'clock nuptial rite last Saturday, April 23, which united in marriage Miss Virginia E. Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle B. Cooper of 11 Mary Lane, Hunterville Park, and Mr. James M. Hunt of Hunterville Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hunt of Ringwood. Miss Gail Castle of McHenry acted as maid of honor and Sharon Cooper, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Bridesmaids were Judy Barwig of McHenry and Janet Fischer of Chicago. The bridesmaids chose orchid and white, pure silk, street length dresses, while the maid of honor was in white and yellow silk. George Baumbeck served as best man and groomsmen were Vernon Block and Leonard Spencer of McHenry. Mrs. Cooper chose a mint green, street length dress, with which she wore white accessories. Mrs. Hunt was attired in a turquoise dress and black iccessories. Dinner followed at 7 p.m. for 175 guests at the Legion home, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Ohio. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school and is employed as an IBM proof operator at the Round Lake State bank. The groom also received his education at the local high school and at present is a printer in Woodstock.
