Wonder Lake; who died Thursday morning. May 5. in Memorial hospital. Woodstock. He had been in poor health for some time but had only been confined to the hospital for a few days. Burial was in Ringwood cemetery. Prior to the body being moved to the church, it rested at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. Mr. Davidson was born in Lennox, Iowa, and before his retirment was a meat broker. He moved to.. Wonder Lake w(ith his family fourteen years ago. Survivors include the widow. Wrage. 54, died Sunday afternoon, May 8, in McHenry hospital. He had resided in this community for the past ten years. Mr. Wrage was a native of Chicago, where < he was born May 30. 1905, and was a real estate broker. Survivors are the widow, Mildred; two daughters. Lorraine S. Wilson of St. Petersburg, Fla., nnd Jean Houston of Chicago; one son, Richard Wrage, of West Brook, Conn., and three grandchildren. The theme points up the improvement in hospital care accomplished by the devoted efforts of the hospital staff. During the week throughout the nation every attempt is being made to cast light upon the multiplicity of occupations to be found in hospitals. Added to this, the work of auxiliary and other volunteer groups are being highlighted. Officials of McHenry hospital provided the following informative facts on the nation's hospitals: Nearly 22 million persons were confined to the nation's hospitals for some period of time in 1958. This amounted to one out of every eight persons in the United States. More than 277,000 professional nurses were employed full-time in hospitals in 1958. Nearly 65,000 more nurses were employed on a part-time basis. Births reported by hospitals reached 3.7 million in 1958. The number of babies born in U.S. hospitals has quadrupled over the last 20 years. Maternity cases each year account for one-sixth of all hospital admissions. Employee wages and salaries paid by U.S. hospitals (including government) amounted to over four and one-half billion dollars in 1958. This was more than half of the total of all hospital expenses that year. GEORGE J. WESTFALL Masonic rites were held Friday from the William P. Herdegen funeral home, Chicago, for George Frank Westfall, 76, of 14 Sunnyside, who died May 4 in the Villa rest home. Burial was in Acacia Park cemetery. Mr. Westfall retired three years ago from his work as a mortician. Besides his widow, Kathryne, he is survived by a daughter. Kay, a television performer, and .a. son, .George, of Villa Park. JOSEPH SARSOK Joseph Sarsok of Burton's Bridge died in McHenry hospital Monday, May 9. The body was removed to the Cermak Home for Funerals oa Cermak road, Cicero. Olga Gullachson Olga Gertrude Gullachson. 68, who had resided at Pistakee Terrace for the past two years, died Thursday, May 5, in Victory Memorial hospital, Waukegan. She was a native of Chicago, where she was born Jan. 18, 1892. Her husband, Chester, and three grandchildren survive; also three sisters, Martha Davis of Algonquin, Freida Mc- Intyre of California and Mildred Carrroll of Chicago. She was the mother of the late Ruth Rogers of McHenry, who died last November. The body rested at the George R. Justen chapel until 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, when Rev. Mahlon Pomeroy of t h e W a u c o n d a F e d e r a t e d church officiated at last rites, with burial in Memorial Park cemetery, Woodstock.
