Elpha Philippi sat in for Marian Alford, and won high score for ihe evening. Lee Landin Won the travelling prize. Marian regretled not being there, but she was enjoying the dance revue thai evening. We hear it was a wonderfully executed program and even the teeniest of the children did real well. Seven or eiL'ht of her friends attended ihe shower which was given by Bonnie Biederer and Andree Butler at Bonnie's home. She received many lovely gifts for little Russell, who looked them over early the next a.m.! Florence is a nurse which may help explain her calmness. At any rate we're all glad the party went well with no real surprises! At this writing Joyce and Goran Engstrom were looking forward to a visit from Goran's brother, Roy. his wife and their 2 month old boy. Roy Jr. They are driving in from St. Paul1 to show off the new baby to the many relatives who will gather at Joyce's on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Peterson and their children Karen and Ricky will be here from Forest Lake. (The family will take this opportunity to celebrate Ricky's birthday.) Jack's aunt was visiting with the Dal tons for a few days. On the day Marie and Jack drove her home they went on to Elmwood Park. Picnic Sunday, August 28, has been set aside for the annual picnic, which, if at all possible, will be heid at Lake Geneva, Wis. Poster Contest Winners The judges, Larry Hicks, Jack Risting and Sam Zeimet. presented their selection of posters that the members then picked for top honors in the poster contest.
