The first Monday was a holiday was the reason for the postponement. jjReport on EMPOA Dinner A very small group attended the association dinner on Saturday evening, June 25. It's regrettable, because the committee had to put a double amount of effort into the affair due to the change of plans from a barbecue to a dinner, and also . because of the problem of finding a suitable location to hold it outside of our own subdivis- <*• A very suitable location was found and the food was excellent. The few of us who attended had a most enjoyable dinner. The members of the committee and those who helped are to be thanked, for it involved a great deal of work to prepare and to 'KP' afterwards. Faith church was the site of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Chester E. Rechisky on Saturday, July 2. Rev. J. O. They now reside in Oaklawn. ' Local Dolns' Nancy Lessard has been kept hopping with all the preparations for the wedding of her sister, Neida Day. Neida is now Mrs. Chester Rechisky. Nancy attended tthe bridal tea which was held at the home of Mrs. R J. York in Deerfield. It was attended by twentyfive friends and featured gifts of china and crystal. On another occasion Nancy and her friends, Marian Alford and Marian's mother, Mrs. Orth, attended a personal shower in Neida's honor at the home of J. Muno in Mundelein. Nancy and Ray were the host and hostess of the rehearsal dinner which was held in their home on July 1. Among the guests were, the D. M. Lamerouxs of Sioux City, Iowa, Albert Kirmbaur, Joseph Muno, the bride and groom-to-be, Nancy's mother, Mrs. Blain Day,, and the Lessard children. Little Jeanne was the flower girl for the wedding. To add to Nancy's week her six-year-old, Bobby, got lost at O'Hare Field! Mama bravely took the whole .-gang over to see the jets, and Bobby got lost among the throng. Luckily he remained calm and rejoined his family within 30 minutes. All this happened while they were returning from an outing with a group of Nancy's fellow graduates from nursing school and their children. The outing was held at Bussie Woods which is near the airport and it all seemed like a good idea at the time. Nancy, you deserve every day of that vacation when it comes! Jerry Ryan and his wife and family enjoyed a cookout in Arlington Heights on Sunday, June 26. Jerry's brother, Bob, is on furlough for 10 days and they hope to get together with him again before he returns to his base. Marilyn and Ray Salo were pleasantly surprised on the evening of their anniversary when the Borcovans. the Landins and Elpha and Bill !Philippi walked in bearing refreshments and good wishes! The Krebs children have been having the time of their lives these last few Saturdays. Mom and Dad have been taking them to the stock car races in Wilmot. It seems the biggest (and smallest) rooter of them all slept through the whole thing when her favorite number finally came in first! Lynn was in for a wonderful surprise 'when her parents invited her best friend to spend a week with them and to join the fun of the car races. Lynn had been fretting about not seeing her best pal (and former next door neighbor in Chicago). We can imagine the thrill for her when Joan arrived. The Coughlins made a trip info Chicago on, June 25, to see Patsy's grandmother who has been ill. On Sunday, Patsy and John had company from Seneca. They were John's cousins, the Johnsons. The Davis family made a real day of it when they went into Chicago last Sunday. They visited with three families while there; the Davises, the Pattersons and the Fays. Helen and Dan Mathes enjoyed the Trade Fair in Chicago. They went in for the preview which was held the day before the official opening. They walked 5 miles in the course of the evening and saw many lovely things. It was especially nice this year with the air-cooled feature. The Hawkins enjoyed having many of Dick's fraternity brothers out for a few hours of relaxation. Tammy has been very busy with company on Sunday, on Monday and more on Wednesday! Pat Kellogg and Carol Hayes enjoyed having a visit with their Dad's brother and his wife on Sunday, July 2. TtTeir home is in Canada. The Fultzes went in to Park Forest over the June 25 weekend, where they visited with the Youngbloods. Larson has filed a personal injury suit in' circuit court to recover $50,000, naming Anton and Anthony Freels defendants. The suit results from an auto accident on Green street in McHenry in November of 1958, in which she suffered injuries. * 4H NEWS ' Busy Three Clnb At the business meeting of the Busy Three 4-H club, held last week with nineteen members present, questions concerning the county junior fair were answered a ncl entry blanks and premium books were given out. Dick Jelinek. Craig Miller, Duane Schmitt. Wayne Steinmetz and Ken Etten gave project talks. Vicki Miller gave a health talk and Carol Jean Anderson gave a demonstration on" training a dog.
