Gen and Ovie Scurlock, paid a surprise visit to Mary arid George on Monday of last week. The good news they brought was that. they will be living in Arlington for the rest of the racing season, and that Ovie, who is a jockey, will be riding at Arlington Park. Their home formerly was in New Jersey. Lynn Krebs is really enjoying the summer. She had her girl friend, Joan Ewert, of Chicago out to her house for a week of fun. and the following week, she had another friend, Bette Berryman of LaGrange, out for a week's stay. The week after that, she will stay with their grandmother while Lynn goes on to Springfield with the Ewerts. This will be the first time s i n c e L y n n ' s b i r t h n e a r l y twelve' years ago that mama. Lois, has been home alone. You gals who live close might as well plan to put the coffee pot on early because I doubt if she is going to stay there and rattle around those empty rooms from the time Warren leaves for work until his return each day!! The Simpsons enjoyed their vacation near Eagle River. Wis. They had invited Sandy Radner to go along and she had a ball with the many iiice 'teens she met there. Sept. 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the community house. The highlight of the evening will be a crazy hat contest. All members are urged to attend and may invite a friend. Start creating now to have your hat finished in time. Seeing as this is the beginning of a new season, it seems like a good time to review some of the by-laws. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at the community house at 8:30 p.m. Ladies who are members of the LPPOA are eligible to join the Woman's club. Elections are held in April. Eligibility for nominption consists of membership for one year and attendance at five meetings throughout the year. The aim of Women's club is to give support to the LPPOA. The main project is the community house. Mrs. Harold Krug of Knoll avenue on Aug. 13 at Sherman hospital in Elgin. This pert miss tipped the scales at 7 lbs., 4 ozs. and measured 19 in. from tip to toe. She has a brother, Mike, and a sister, Carye. Debbie Gladman has been in Chicago for several weeks with her grandmother, Mrs. Emily Gladman and Aunt Alice Barha and cousins. Honeymooners Return Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pollitt have returned from their two week 'honeymoon to Colorado Springs They are at home at 821 Grove street in Cooney Heights. Mrs. Pollitt is the former Rosemary Heber of 506 Shore Drive. They were married Aug. 6 at St. Mary's church. Many of the neighbors from Lakeland Park were present at the ceremony and the reception held later at the VFW. Schmidt of 614 Home avenue who passed away on Aug. 17. He is survived by his wife, Amelia, and a son, Arthur of DesPlaines, and a daughter, Mrs. Marion Kinney, who is with her husband in the Navy in the Philippines and eight grandchildren.
