Mrs. Floyd Johnson of the ®ucation committee is urging all pupils to get hack into Sunday School which meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the community center of Pistakee "Highlands. Rally Day will be Sept. 25 and will be emphasized with a special program arid personal invitations. The Mount Hope Methodist church is the nearest Protestent church for this subdivi- Sron. With Acorn Little Mitchell Siepman, not quite 5 years old, recently spent five days in McHenry hospital as the result of being hit in the eye with an acorn. He is still going to the eye »cialist for treatments and doctor isn't sure yet if his sight will be impaired. Only time will tell. Parents, please caution your children against throwing things. It is too late after someone is injured -- the damage is done. Dedication The dedication of the new wing of the Johnsburg public school will be held jointly with aPP.T.A. meeting Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. Following a short business meeting, there will be open house, a short program and refreshments. Parents are asked to impress on their children that the shelter is placed there for their safety and convenience and wilful destruction by the children will < be charged to their parents. Let's keep it neat and clean, shall we? Wisconsin Visitors Leatrice and Eugene Stannic had as Labor Day weekend guests her sister and husband, Patricia and Eugene Jansen, of Manitowoc, Wis. Must have been confusing with two Eugenes, huh? A Florida Visitor Labor Day weekend was a happy time for Alice and Ray Bieschke. Alice's brother, Gordon Dietrich, of Lantana, Fla., came for a visit, the first gettogether for the family in three years: While here, Gordon was godfather for two nephews, Alice, a godmother for one nephew while her sister, Dorothy Ungaro, sponsored the other. The Bieschkes were also hosts recently to Sandy Ehrenfterg for a week. Sandy is the godmother of their daughter, Tammy. Around They Went The Kennebecks have just returned from a "circle" vacation. Carol and Bud were accompanied by her brother and his wife, Marilyn and Bob Gamperl. They circled three of the Great Lakes, Superior; Huron and Michigan, and spent a few days at Mackinac Island, Mich. Carol has always wanted to visit Sheboygan so that ambition was realized as well as no housework, no cooking and Grandma and Grandpa G a m p e r l b a b y - s i t t i n g w i t h Karen and Alan. The Kennebecks and Gamperls agree thatit was a wonderful trip. lt, Visitors The Banker and Schweiger household recently had as guests, June's sister and husband, Chrystal and Edward Stach, and tljeir son, and Chet's brother, Virgil, his wife, Jessie, and their three children. Oops! Sorry Department We are sorry we did not have the dates of a birthday and anniversary recently. A belated but happy birthday to Frank Gore on Sept. 3, and congratulations to Donna and Ray Jensen on their second anniversary Sept. 7. Christening Connie Marie Hanahan, tiny daughter of Delores and Tom, was christened Sunday, Sept. 4, at St. John's church in Johnsburg. The new baby's godparents are Katherine and Legs Bute. Later in the day, a buffet dinner for their friends was served at the , Hanahan home to celebrate the happy event. Reunion A family reunion was held recently at the home of Alice and Dick Janicki. There was. Alice's mother, Mrs. Huldah Krans, her sisters, Laura and Arlene Krans, and the Bernard Girard family, all of Chicago, and the Alfred Krans family from Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Colorado Visitors Lois and Bob McDonald are happy to have Bob's brother, Vic, his wife, Annabelle, and their two children, Carla and V. H., with them for a visit. Stratton has forwarded safety commendations to mayors of 74 Illinois cities reporting no traffic fatalities in their communities during 1959. Gov.
