Marjorie Sohn, University o£ Illinois extension clothing spi*~' cialist, recommends washing* these garments frequently before the soil can grind into this fabric and cause permanent stains. You can wash these garments- by hand or in ah automatic washer. But whichever method you choose, use the water temperature recommended for the fiber present in the greatest amount. For example, if the suit has 65 percent Dacron and 35 percent col ton, choose the water temp- k erature suitable for Dacron.,,^ This rule of thumb also applies for choosing pressing temperature. No matter how you laundetV the stains from wear should1 be pre-loosened. A paste of detergent and tf' few drops of water is one ef-, fective pre-treatment. Unfarfc unately, synthetics a 11 r a <!^P oily soil, and just ordinaf^ washing alone won't budge i£<- Use any suitable detergent; in hot or warm water. A liquid detergent works best in coofr ef toatfe*. Use discretion when washing these "garments with othtf' items, it'S tos6 to separate ar^ tides as to color and degree of soil.1 Arid since crowding, causes wrinkles,' It's best ttf* wa&h 'minimum-care suits separately.
