Surprise Couple On Return From Trip Mr.» and Mrs. Gottftfeff Krapf were very surprised upon their arrival at their home oh Golf View road last Saturday evening to find a group of neighbors and friends waiting to greet them. The Krapfs have been on a five months' trip to Europe: An interesting evening was spent as the couple related experiences of their trip arid their guests brought them up to date on local happenings while they were away. DEMOCRATS PLAN HALLOWE'EN DANCE IN CITY OCT. 28 Fall Fantasy In County Oct. 21 The annual McHenry county Home Bureau bazaar Is coming sbon. This fall Fantasy will be held Friday, Oct. 21. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and activity will bustle until after 9 p.m. The location is the Home Bureau dining hall on the fairgrounds at Woodstock. The building offers ample space for display of- articles and plenty of room for parking cars. A special feature this year will be the large selection of Christmas gifts and items to be Used in holiday decorations. Again, the Country Store will be overflowing with produce and in true Home Bureau fashion. the baked" goods will be most tempting. You won't want to miss the booth of potted plants arid flower arrangements. There will be a special section for children's, clothes and other fancy work. Kennedy. The theme was "Strategy of Peace", a program suggested by the Democratic National Committee for Women's Affairs. About 100 McHenry women gathered at Chapel Hill Country club to hear a review of Senator Kennedy's book, "Strategy of Peace". The reviewer was one of the area's most dynamic personalities, Van Sells. Her review was comprehensive, info r m a t i v e and stimulating. After her talk, an opinion poll showed that sixty-eight of the guests Were equally divided on the questions of U. S:. orestige abroad and U. S. defense superiority. Twenty-six persons telt aid to underdeveloped areas wa§ our most vital foreign problem; The opinions were sent to the Democratic national headquarters as requested.
