Carol Hayes and Pat Kellogg it won first prize at the pool fund bridge tournament held in the American Legion hall. Local News Jerry and Lois Ryan entertained Joyce and Larry Fernekes of Cary with a pizza supper and an evening of records on Saturday, Nov. 12. On Sunday, Nov. 13, the Ryan family attended the christening of their new nephew, James Raymond Anderson, at St. Matthew Lutheran church in Barrington. His parents are Lois' sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Anderson, of Fox River Grove. Everyone enjoyed a barbecue dinner at the home of Lois' mother in Fox River Grove. On Monday, Nov. 14, the Ryans enjoyed ent e r t a i n i n g Jerry's grandmother, Mrs. Martha Schmidt, of Arlington Heights, on her seventy-seventh birthday. On Friday, Nov. 11, Pat Borcovan and the children journeyed to Chicago so that Pat's mother, Mrs. Lee Downing, could help them celebrate Susan's birthday. WATER SHORTAGES Although water supply reservoirs in northern and central Illinois were at normal seasonal levels at the end of October, some southern Illinois communities were experiencing water shortages, according to William C.
