Brownie News The Lilymoor Brownie Troop 267 has been busy making gifts for their parents for Christmas.. Brownie Troop 29 of Lakemoor. Maryann Brzezinski was invested as a Brownie at the meeting held Tuesday, Dec. 6. Linda Goss, Sue Steadman and Diane Dember completed their tenderfoot rank and will Fly- Up into the Girl Scouts after the. holidays. This trop is still looking for a leader. Page Twenty-One ^ cHenry Shores SANTA VISITS CHILDREN DURING CHRISTMAS PARTY By Clare Mueller EV. 5-0558 At the December meeting of the McHenry Shores club, the children, through the untiring efforts of Marge Olszewski, entertained their parents and friends with a variety of dancing acts at a Christmas party. .A chorus, composed of all the participating children, climaxed the event with a song before the Crib of Bethlehem. Santa arrived shortly after to give each child present a gift. After cookies and chocolate milk, the youngsters were whisked home and tucked in for pleasant dreams. MSC Mectlnf Results The vote carried to obtain a charter for the McHenry Shores club as a not-for-profit corporation in Illinois. MSC Election Jan. 5 is scheduled as election ni^hf* Sample ballots to all members in good standing should have been received this past week. A space, you will note, is allowed to write in your favorite candidate's name, but remember, the consent of all write-in-candidates should be obtained before entering their names. All write-in candidates should be members in good standing, dues paid for 1961 and a resident of McHenry Shores as a property owner for at least a year. Absentee ballots may be obtained at least five days prior to the election from Recording Secretary Joan Dostal, 302 Park avenue, or in her absence, from President Jack Schmitt, 305 Miller Drive. Remember, only members in good standing whose dues are paid for 1961 are eligible to vote. Dues can be paid to Treasurer Willis Coates, 110 Still Hill drive. He will issue a membership card for 1961 as a receipt that will be acknowledged for a ballot. Christening The Nativity Lutheran church in Wonder Lake was the scene of the christening of Charles Matthew Whitney. Calvin Whitney and Darlene Hattan were the Godparents. Thirty-one people gathered at the Whitney home to celebrate the* event. Convalescing Lillian Gagne is recovering from a gall bladder operation in Columbus hospital, 2520 N. Mrs. Stark, as a housewife, has her hands full being a good mother and wife to her four active boys (that includes you too, .Fred). She went to Harrison high and Jones Commercial in Chicago.
