The musical program will be given by the upper grades of the school. A Lenten Quiet Day has been arranged for the Episcopal churchwomen of the Lake Shore deanery on March 16 at St. Elizabeth's church in Glencoe. The day, which is devoted to private meditation and inspirational addresses, will begin with Holy Communion at 10 a.m. Women from this community who will attend are Mrs. Stanley Sweeney and Mrs. Ed. Robel. The Rev. William H. Baar, rector of the host parish, will conduct the devotional day. Father Baar is an eminent clergyman widely known for his contributions to church p u b l i c a t i o n s and e x t e n s i v e speaking engagements. DIRECTS SKIT Miss Cindy Freund, 408 Riverside drive, is the director of a skit to be presented at the annual Varsity Varieties student talent show March 5 and 6 at Marquette university in Milwaukee, Wis. The skit entitled "A Gambler's Dream" will be given by Kappa Beta Gamma, national social sorority, which was one of fifteen groups to pass preliminary auditions. Miss Freund is enrolled in Marquette's college of nursing. The Wonder Lake Garden club met recently at the home of Mrs. Edward Cannon of Lake Shore Drive. Eleven members and three guests where present. Roll call was answered with "A Theme For Our Flower Show". ,The theme decided on for the flower show was "Flowers and Music". The dates where set for Aug. 12 and 13 and the place is Harrison school. Mrs. A. Nagle gave the lesson on "Trees". Members brought arrangements in a tea cup appropiate for a valentine. Also on display were shells, plant-life and sand dollars sent to the club by Mrs. Kleibert from Florida. The members and guests went on a tour of Flowerwood, there they learned how camellias and gardenias are grown. Two of the Junior Garden club members, Jackie Hanson and Donna Mae Dean, gave a lecture on how they forced hyacinths into bloom in October and how they planted them.
