Last Sunday the Ingleside and Mount Hope M.Y.F. group joined, forces and enjoyed a w ^ d e r f u l a f t e r n o o n r o l l e r skating in Twin Lakes. In the evening they had their regular meeting. 'Teen Club The 'teen club harl a meeting March 6 at the barn. They planned a bowling party for March 18. Last Saturday, "a come as you are party" was hejf in the Muellers' basement. Wedding News Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rapp. On Saturday, March 4. Erna Rockel and Dick Rapp were married in the Rockel home at 117 Bunny avenue. Pastor Hagerty performed the ceremony. The new Mrs. Rapp wore a green and white print silk dr^s, white veil, shoes and gloves and her flowers wore white baby mums. A wedding breakfast was held in the Rockel home. At 2 p.m. a wedding reception was held at the Rapp home. About sixty persons were there. Erna and Dick are now at home in McHenry. Welcomes Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ken-: nebeck, former residents of Pistakee Highlands, welcomed a baby girl on March 6 in Woodstock. The Kennebecks now reside in Sunnyside. Blessed Virgin Sodality Benefit Party Sunday, March 19, at 8 p.m., the Blessed Virgin sodality of St. John's parish will hold a party to which the public is cordially invited. The proceeds will go for new lights in the parking area. This event w 11 be held in the Johnsburg community hall. All the members of the Blessed Virgin sodality are invited to attend Communion Sunday, March 26, at the 8:30 Mass. Breakfast will follow the Mass and Communion at the Johnsburg community hall. Hospital Auxiliary Card Party March 21, at 1 p.m. at the V.F.W. hall in McHenry, the Woman's auxiliary to the McHenry hospital, will hold a fashion show and card party. Refreshments will be served. Fun Fair The Johnsburg school will its annual fun fair on April 15 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The committee is in need of items for the white elephant sale, the bake booth, handmade items and lots of help. Whoever would like to donate something for the bake booth can contact Mrs. Koch or Mrs. Fowler. There will be games and amusement for every memof the family. Hot dogs, bjm>ecues, cake and pop are on the menu. Entertains Card Club Dot Erbin was hostess to her card club last Wednesday evening in her home. Mr. and Mrs. Mary Mueller spent last Friday visiting with some of Mary's relatives in Rockford. Mr. and Mrs. Erdmann attended the sports show in Chicago last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Haupperbauer are the proud grandparents of a baby boy. The little fella was born to their daughter and scn-in-law. Happy birthday to Kay Reilly on March 16. Celebrating along with St. Pat will be- Jimmy Madock. He will be one year old. Congratulations to Emma Mares who will celebrate her birthday March 23. Betty and Milton Sandelin spent last Saturday shopping in Chicago for their precious new bundle. Happy birthday to Lillian Orlowski who will celebrate her natal day March 24. Kay Sielisch will bake her a big birthday cake and help Lillian celebrate her birthday. Judy Krumwiede entertained her stepmother, Mrs. Hapeman of Park Ridge, March 8. Judy enjoyed showing her the Highlands and McHenry. Rita Tempera is recovering after minor surgery at the McHenry hospital. Grace Reinhardt spent a few days home last week with a very severe cold. Mamie O'Neil. Anna Cohrs and Blanche Haefliger attended the "Queen For A Day Program" in Chicago last week. Ruth and Jim Lemonns are happy .to have their car back. It was badly damaged in their recent accident. Jim has returned to work and both have fully recovered from their harrowing experience. Sylvia Murray and Mary Lou Sabielny passed their nurses aid course with flying colors. On March 19 Dale Morin will be three years old. He is going to have a big party with lots of aunts, uncles, grandparents and his two brothers. Many happy returns of the day to Eleanor Wroblewski who celebrates her birthday March 17. Alice Wilson had a party last Saturday in honor of her sixth birthday. Joining in the fun were Joyce Malek, Kimberly Coons. Ricky Madock. Gary Shastal, Joyce and Steve Murgatroyd, Pam Pechous and Mi chael Wolf. On March 21, Mrytle Bentz and Lorraine Erdmann will be hostesses at a demonstration in the Bentz home. The proceeds from this will go to the benefit of their handicraft club. Anyone is welcome to attend. That lucky Audrey Morin spent three days in Chicago this week visiting her dad and Don's folks. She came home with baby Larry while Tommy and Dale stayed with their grandparents and saw the Shrine Circus. Last Friday Marge Moreth, Vi Schuble and Loraine Lindemann attended a meeting of the McHenry Women's club. The new telephone system was explained. I am so pleased to report that Brian Von Bruenchenhein has recovered from his recent bout with the measles. Belated birthday wishes to John Weingart who celebrated his birthday on March 5. Sick List Joe Ullo suffered a heart attack last Friday on his way home from work. He was taken to the McHenry hospital and is doing very well. I know all Joe's friends wish him a speedy recovery. I am sorry to hear that Laura, Carter and Dee Gregg were all ill last week. That old flu and virus bug is really making the rounds. I send my best wishes to Art Bentz for a quick recovery. He has been home sick for the past three weeks. Attends Shower On Feb. 26 Mrs. Dean Peterson and Mrs. Froney attended a shower in Chicago for Thersea Noca. She will be married in April to Beinie Brzozowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brzozowski of 226 Bunny avenue. Mrs. Rose Farwell was unable to attend but sent her good wishes along with the other girls. The old bam on his property was engulfed in flames. Twenty-six members and guests were present. Preceding the meeting a delicious Cantonese and fried chicken dinner was served.
