Home Again Home again, after a six weeks vacation, feels good for Ann and Bill Herzog. They left Jan. 15 for Florida, Los Angeles, Calif, and last stop Las Vegas, Nevada, before retwning to home at 208 Lake- View avenue on Feb. 28. In Fort Lauderdale, Fla., they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Blanchard and visited also in St. Petersburg, Fla., with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reinhardt jvho formerly lived here on Hilltop street and in Bradenton, Fla., with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hammond who formerly lived on LakeView avenue. In iPs Angeles, Calif., they visited with Ann's relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hilton and Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Freeze. And in Las Vegas, Nev., enjoyed the many tourist attractions. Paul is a fifth grade student at Landmark and Bradford a sixth grader at the junior high school. These boys are now eligible to compete in the state finals in Ashton, 111., on April £8 and 29. Good luck fellows! Birthday Party Ronnie Rebel, observed his fourth birthday on Friday, March 10, with a little party of four friends. Donnie and Larry Glorch, Davy Wickenkamp, and Billy Burman. Moms enjoying the party too were Dorothy Glorch, Bev Wickenkamp, (Susie too) Joan Burman, baby Mike, too and mom, Marge Rebel, and Ronnie's sister, Anita. Double Birthday Celebration Ann and Bill Herzog were birthday honored guests of Ivy and Stan Lezak on Wednesday, March 8. Ann observes her birthday on March 8 and Bill's is right after on March 9. They enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings and later were Dleasantly surprised by the Hafers and Hountrasess who had "tracked" them down at Lezaks. They came well prepared and the Lezaks had the pleasure of joining the usual card game with the "Ha-He- Ho's," in tohich the girls enjoyed beating the boys. Birthday Doings Charles Pintozzi observed his birthday, March 13, but celebrated on Sunday, March 12. Their children and grandchildren dropped in to wish grandpa a biggest birthday ever. Mildred served the grown-ups cake and coffee and there were plentj of goodies for the youngsters. Sunshine Birthday Kimberley Worm celebrated her eighth birthday, March 8. She had a little party for her friends and those who attended were Alicia Sweeney, Deborah Djubenski, Sandy Dawson, Debbie Gladman, Cathy Humann and Edna Krupinski. The party was held after school, and games were enjoyed along with birthday cake. Pink and Blue Shower Dolly Nowell was guest of honor at a "mostly pink" shower in Dee Earwig's basement oh Friday evening, March 3. They have four children, Jimmy, age ?.0, who attends fifth grade at Landmark; Jack, age who goes to third grade at Edgebrook: Pamela, age 7, is enrolled in the second grade at Edgebrook and Patty, age 4, who keeps her busy all day. Bob and Gayle, both attended Kelvyn school in Chicago. This happy pair met in high school, continued to date for two years and were finally married. They now have been married for eleven years. Bob is a carpenter, and Gayle is working in McHenry as an IBM machine operator. Gayle likes to sew and paint and is presently the secretary of the Women's club. Bob enjoys wood work. Johnsburg PARTY PROCEEDS USED TO PURCHASE PARKING LIGHTS Betty Hettermann An open invitation is extended to one and all to attend the public party to be held next Sunday evening, March 19, in the community club hall. Your participation at this party is greatly urged by the Blessed Virgin Sodality who hope to raise funds for the new lights in the St. John's church parking area. Proceeds for the night will go into this special fund. Please try to attend next Sunday evening and bring a friend or two along. John's school hall prior to the' 8:30 Mass. The group will march into church in a body for the Mass and will also receive Communion in a body. Breakfast will be served for the court members in the community club hall immediately following the Mass. The parish men will be doing the preparing and serving of the meal. First, Mrs.* Regner taught us the proper way to wash our faces. Then she taught us how to apply a special green mud pack. She also showed us how, by using Linda I .arson as the model. After the entire process, the skin felt as soft as a baby's skin. We had much fun and appreciated it very much that Mrs. Regner let us use her beauty aids.
