Me was giving a friend a helping hand when the accident occurred. Ron wag taken to Mc- Henry hospital where it was found he suffered a broken hip, cuts and the lower portion of his body was badly ripped. It will«be some'1 time before he will be fully recovered and I know all of Ron's friends, as well as friends of Toots and - Lou wish Ronnie a speedy recovery. We're all praying for you. Lindqmann was hostess to the Pink Lady sewing guild in her home. Beside the regular meeting Lorraine served a dessert luncheon to Marge Moreth, Nellie Bergener, Celia Blake, Lilah Jordon, Mae Siadek, Lillian Ccx, Agnes Komen, Margaret Bclin, Isa Bracnne, Mable Martin, Esther Knapp, Vi Schuble and Marion Carlson. LaVerne Madock was Lorraine's guest for the afternoon. " Grandson Arrived Are they happy? You bet they are. I'm speaking of Mr. and Mrs. Erdmann who via the adoption stork received their new grandson on March 15. Tiie little fella has been named- Eric Arthur and weighs 8% lbs. The parents are the Erdmanns' sork and daughter-inlaw. Congratulations to you all. You' won't want to sit one dance out. See you there. On Entertaines March 17, Lorraine Hospital Patient Mrs. Ralph Blake of 301 E. Broadway underwent surgery last Thursday in M^Henry hospital. Lee Conway entered Victory Memorial hospital in Waukegan last Thursday and on Friday underwent surgery. To you both I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery, ^ I am pleased to report that Joe Ullo was released from Mc- Henry hospital last week. Joe suffered a heart attack recently 'and will spend the next few weeks at home recuperating. News of Your Friends and ' Neighbors ' Last Thursday Don and Wanda Dobecki attended the flower show in Chicago. On March 21, Grace Reinhardt attended a bridal shower for her former employer in Chicago. She spent the next day visiting with friends anti relatives. Jack and Kay Reilly and family spent last Saturday visiting with Kay's brother, George Kerasiotis, and family in Chicago. Taking advantage of a day off from school, Virginia Thoren, along with Ken and Janet, spent the day visiting with Ed's folks in Chicago. Ed met them there after work and they spent the evening together. Hazel and Martin Rogde spent last Sunday in DeKalb visiting Hazel's mother, She hasn't been feeling well lately and they like to drive out to see her as often as possible. Bob and Lorraine Hurckes spent March 21 in Arlington Heights. They went to help Bob's mother celebrate her birthday. Mrs. Bob VonZevern, Kay Sielisch and LaVerne Madock attended the Blessed Virgin Sodality on March 14 at St. John's in Johnsburg. On March 13 a few gals got together on one of these 'spur of the moment get-together' and spent an enjoyable eve ning. Lois Mason, Lee Conway™ and Jeanne Barron met at Janice Janquart's home and among other things watched television! played £ards, had cake rind coffee and wished Lee a happy birthday. I'm sorry to hear that Terry Reilly was sick last week. Let's all hope he's feeling better now. Val and Joe Gitlin recently entertained Ray and Dolly Novotny in their, home along with another couple from Chicago. I hear there was a good turn out at the "come as you are" party the 'teen club held in the Mueller basement. Those are fun especially if they are pulled on housewives at 8:30 in the morning. Joan VVeingart is a busy gal. She is back working the night shift while daddy Weingart takes over the household. Gus- Trampas and family from Chicago were dinner guests at .. the Herb Lindemanns cn March 12. Herb and Gus are co-workers. Happy birthday to Jeff Hurckes who was just ohe year old on March 22. Last Sunday Tom and Lois Mason and family visited Tom's brother, Ronnie, and family in Chicago. Happy birthday to Val Gitlin who celebrates her birthday on March 27. Visiting Lorraine and Bob Hurckes this past weekend were Bob's parents and Lorraine's mother, Mrs. Rix. They helped Jeff celebrate his birthday. March 26 is the birthday of Miss Missy Dohecki. She will be six years old ard will have a party on Friday with her kindergarten friends. - Taking a week off from all their troubles and cares were Jack and Kay Reilly, Hank and Betty Zenner and George and Marilyn VanZevern. They went on a weekend trip to Rockton. Besides relaxing they did some swimming, fowling arid dancing. .
