A grandmother herself, she entertained members of her grammer school class for luncheon. The women journeyed from far and near to attend, and rehashed the days ef "pranks 'n* pigtails". Former eighth grade coquettes included Mrs. Christine Browning and Qerthk Sabella 6f Mundelein; Marie Stephenson, and Alvine Johnson, Chicago; Cathe r i n e S t o n e a n d B e r t h a Fra'heke of Libertyville' (scene of their alma mater); Amanda Jackson of Hammond, Ind.; and Amy Johnson of Gurnee. Illness prevented three of the women from attending. Some of the gals had not seen one another for FORTY YEARS! ^ Mrs. Nelson served sliced ham and hot cross buns. "Pretty party piece" was an egg salad molded in the shape ot an easter egg, covered with white cream cheese and adorned with stems and flowers of green and pink. Dessert was a Danish dessert pie topped with whipped cream. The table was beautified with p8ace cards of pink and lavendar wax tulip heads with a candle in the center. (Give you any ideas for tuture entertaining, gals?) A truly wonderful, time for the women. Deepest Sympathy To former resident, Mrs. Frank Rourke, on the untimely passing of her father, John Rimell, 59. He passed away in Ann Arbor hospital, Michigan, in the early hours of Saturday morning where he had been a patient for about one month. His residence was 645 High street, Adrian, Mich,. In addition to daughter, Beverly, Mr. Rimell is survived by his wife, Mildred, and sons, Bill and Norman, and nine grandchildren, including Cynthia, John, and Kevin Rourke. John was a frequent visitor to our shores when the Rourkes resided here and had many friends in the area. A great sportsman, he was never happier than when swinging a golf club or throwing a bowling ball. A fine man, devoted husband and father, and a doting grandfather --his memory will not fade. Better Late Than Never So sorry we missed the news on the latest addition to the Ronald Wilson menage. Their fifth child, a girl, was born in Befimowt • hospital- on March 9 and is called Lori Joyce (for momma, of course). She weighed in at 5 lbs., 15% ozs. The co-hostesses were Connie Johnson, Ruth Young and Marge Polinski. It was a gay happy affair and thoroughly enjoyed by all those friends of Shirley's who turned out ten-fold. The guest of honor was really surprised, she even brought her own cards for the pinochle game that was supposedly taking place that evening. The girls outdid themselves , with the color scheme of mint-green and pale yellow, making the setting one right out of fairyland! Shirley looked every inch a queen surrounded by the mountains of lovely gifts, surely enough for twins, which by the way was the main topic of conversation! Her maternal grandmother was a twin, so perhaps she will carry On the family tradition?
