Both schools made their selections from among 1.000 applicants." BAY VIEW BEACH RESIDENTS WILL MEET APRIL 16 ' !> A meeting was held recently at the Bay View Beach community building to discuss the possibility of forming an organization to bring together the people residing in' Nunda township. On Sunday, April 16, ,at 2 p.m., an organizational meeting will be held at the Bay View Beach community building, Route 176, approximately one mile west . of Burton's Bridge, for the purpose of electing officers and directors and appointing a committee for the drafting of by-laws, membership and other matters of importance. , The idea of an organization of this kind is not a new one. In May, 1957, an organization was formed in the township in the territory east of the Fox river to the county line and roughly north from Route 176 to one mile south of the township line to try and solve a high school annexation problem. This problem had been, at the time, involved yr litigation through five different petitions and eight years of time. It was brought to a successful conclusion with the sixth petition in less than one year, only because of the strength and activity of the organization. This organization was called the Nunda Township'" Civic league and was. incorporated under the laws of the state of Illinois as a not-for-profit corporation and had as it stated purpose, 'To bring together the people residing in various s u b d i v i s i o n s w i t h i n N u n d a RUDY BECKER K 1 Mile East of the SkyHne Drive-In Phone EVergreen 5-2436 s SERVICE...
