Large items should be brought to the barn on Saturday, April 22, smaller items may be brought to any committee members' home as soon as possible. Church Activities (fThe Women's Society monlhly meeting and Bible study at Faith church will be April 20 at 8 p.m. Sunday, April .">0, 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian church, the Manners club will serve a spaghetti dinner for members, and friends of the church. The proceeds will go to The Wonder Lake S-hool for Mentally Retarded Children. Brownies The Brownies have rece<wd pamphlets on day and summer camps. At the next r.eeting, Ihe Brownies wil! discuss what they want to make for their mothers for Mother's Day. Tripoli Cluli Betty Radner was the hostess for Tripoli club this month. Rita Simpson substituted for IWsemarie Nev. Ion. Mary Thienes won the prize. Bridge Club Peggy Anderson won first prize and Mary Hadley won the travelling prize. Carol Hayes was the hostess. Hippy Birthday A happy birthday wish to Elmer Borcovan and Bill Butler, who celebrate today, and to Denise Dethlefson, who is 10 years old and Sally Hawkins who is 5 years old. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson of Chicago were on hand to hflp Susan Mary Simpson celebrate her second birthday! Susan enjoyed the opening of her presents most of all, as most 2- year-olds do. Tracy Phillippi had a real nice birthday and to help hirn eat cake and ice cre;am at a party on Thursday came Cindy and Sherri Land in, Bonnie Sobacki. Kenny Bianchi, Randy Priester and Tracy's brother, Terry. David Kellogg had a double celebration on Sunday. The Easter Bunny brought David, his eggs and candy and his Grandma and Grandpa Potter came to dinner in honor of David's second birthday. Easter Egg Hunt In spite of the bad weather, there was a large group of children and adults on hand to make the egg hunt a succ?ss. The children ran all over the corral, in search of the carefully hidden Easter eggs and looking for prize eggs (white eggs). Steve Simpson, Craig Sigman and Susan ^-Newlon were among the winners. Balloons and candy were distributed by the committee, Delores Woolwine, Georgia man and Dick Wiegman. Sig- This and That Mr. and Mrs. William D. Killian and their children, Susan, Billy and Kathy, of Dixon, enjoyed Easter dinner with Elpha and Bill Philippi, Mrs. Killian Elpha's sister. Joey and Randy were especially happy to see their auiit and uncle, as they went back to Cixon to stay on their farm -for a week. Bob, Rosemarie, Lynn, Susan and Kathy Newlon had a delightful Easter at the home of Rosern^rie's unele and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gilloffoin. Chicago. Rita, Tom, Steve, Martha and. Betty and Ed Radner en* joyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Andersen of Mc- Cullom Lake on Easter Sunday. Marilyn and Jack Fultz and Rita and Tom Simpson played cards at the home of Hannah and Bill Harner on Saturday evening. Carol Rothe held a demonstration last week and everyone on Eastwood Lane was ln-< vited. Peggy Garrelts was the hostess at a most interesting luncheon last week. Mrs. Maxey told the ladies about the ways and customs of the people in Baliem Valley. She will be in this country for a year and then she will return to the Baliem Valley. Mr. and Mrs. R. Whipple, 18, son of Mrs. Ruthada Whipple, Bartow, Fla., arrived in Germany March 25 and is now a member of the 10th ordnance company. A mechanic in the company in Giessen, Whipple entered the Army last October and completed basic traihing at Fort Jackson, S. C. The son of Hebbert A.
