Charles Mueller was 87 years old and died 'in, Elgin hospital. Burial was held last week in Chicago. <A| Mount Hope Both Easter services were well attended and the M.Y.F. did a wonderful job of conducting the sunrise service. Afterwards coffee and rolls were served. On April 9 the M.Y.F. attended the Sub District M.Y.F. at the Ringwood Methodist church. The senior choir under the diction of Marvin Jones sang the lovely 'Holy City'. Mrs. Barbara Sisk and Mrs. Wanda Dobecki sang the two solo parts. The choir worked for many weeks to prepare for the ster service. Teen News \The 'teens voted in two new ibers. Janet and Carol icloski are the two who warmly accepted by the g r o u p . The 'teens Around the Highlands Herb and Lorraine Lirwtemann had their daughter, Marilyn, and family from Lansling visiting them on Easter Sunday. Lorraine went back t^ Lansling with them for a rest. I am pleased to report that Joyce Malek is recovering nicely from the burns she received on her arms and back. She was able to return to school last week. Don and Wanda Dobecki were pleased with a visit from Don's brother, Jerry, who was home, on leave from the Navy. They all spent Easter at Wanda's folks. Billy and. Ernie Jones and family spent Easter with Billy's mother in Chicago. Dick and Rose Farwell spent their Easter with relatives in LaGrange. Myrtle Bentz and Lorraine Erdmajm spent last Tuesday shopping in Chicago. Kathy Weber has her parents visiting here for awhile. They are from Bradenton, Fla. Bob and Lorraine Hurckes and boys will spend this coming Sunday at Bob's folks hone in Chicago. All the Mclnerneys were pleased to have Kathy home for a few days from college. Emma Rosengart and Kay Sielisch were guests on April 3 at the home of Gert and Roy Snell. Martin and Hazel Rogde are very pleased to have their daughter, Pat, living with them again. She has given up her apartment and will be living in the Highlands permanently by the weekend. Pat Jackson entertained two girl friends in her home on April 5. Bev Mall ion and children, Keith and Susan, from Elk Ridge and Al. Roberts and daughters, Jan and Joy, from DesPlaines were guests for the day. I am very happy to report that Ron Spankuch is recover nicely from his recent accident. Laura Farvvell was home from school last week with the measles. Guild Donates Books The Nimble Finger guild has donated a set of pre-school encyclopedias to the library. The library committee was very pleased with t h i s thoughtful donation. Members of the guild are Lorraine Erdmann, Myrtle Bentz, Sally Homles, Betty Zenner, Dorothy Rodarme!, Emily Thode of the Highlands, and Janet Thuenng, Helen Espinoza and Amy Hilliard of Waukegan. Guests speaker for the evening was Judge Richard Marshall. Mr. Marshall gave a very in teresting talk on the functions of the different offices of the township, and what their functions are. Hostesses for the April meeting were Lil Neumann, Marylyn LoPresti and Ann Novak. The monthly prize was won by Lee Bassi. ® The next monthly meeting will be held Monday. May 1, at 8 p.m. It will be held in the large hall of Club Lilymoor. Hostesses for the May meeting are Marge Polinski, Sally Rogers and Shirley Schuerr.
