*v Thursday, April 13, 1961 Wa&JL SO I HEAR... Some great bowling took place last Thursday night in the Business Men's League at McHenry Recreation. Andy McCarroll missed a 700 series by a whisker -- 699 pins! Gene Schaefer had a 677 series and Eddie Buss 666. Can you imagine being second and third high with series like that? Each of those fellows got better as they went along. That's great bowling, fellows. We congratulate you. ^ifp^At Tomasello's, in the T.N7T. league, Lou Ann Smith bowled a-550 series and rates special mention in this corner. , Tom Creighton will lead, the MCHS cindermen this spring as the Squads elected captain. Tom is the defending 880 yard run, conference and county champion. The track team will be in Woodstock to-day (Thursday) at 4:15. At one o'clock Saturday afternoon, the high school baseball team will be in Lib- - ertyville. We hear this 'will be a double header. Next Monday the golf team will be at Grayslake at 4:15. Next Tuesday, April 18, the Woodstock baseball team will be here. At the same time our track team will be in Barrington for a match that will include Palatine. The Warrior baseball team beat Elgin 12 to 9 in a goahead, come-from-behind contest. We enjoyed a real sociable evening with the Forester bowlers at Chapel Hill Country Club Sunday night. Good tfood and- good fun. Like Ol' Man River that league keeps ^ rolling along. Think George S Freund said they have been | going 37 years.
