Mr. Howe then took the oath of office from trustees Art Stuhlfeier (incumbent), Bill Creutz and Gene Shigley. Next to be sworn in was Mrs. Pyritz. Last elected official to take the oath of office was re-elected village president, J. R. Levesque. After four years of faithful service, trustees Don Parenti and Hoy Zody were released from their duties, and the new officers took their places. Appointed officials who included treasurer Earl Nelson 3ind chief-of-police Larry Murray, re-accepted their appointments and were duly sworn. The contract with W. A. Rakow Associates for fiscal vear April 1, 1961 to March 31, 1962 was approved with four aye votes and one dissenting. - Because of his annual military duty with the Naval Reserve for a period of two weeks, Mr. Levesque would not be present for the next regularly scheduled meeting. Therefore the board voted to postpone until Monday, May 22, when the regular sessions of second and fourth Mondays will re sume. Services which the Jensens attended were held on Wednesday of last week with interment in Irving Park cemetery. Survivors also include a son. Roosevelt. 200 PRESENT AT ANTI-COMMUNIST MEETING TUESDAY by Eve Levesque "We are in the hottest war we have ever been engaged in", were the ' sobering .words delivered by Capt. I. M. Hampton as he addressed some 200 people at the V.F.W. hall last week. He was the guest speaker at the anti-Communist program given by the McHenry Township Republican Women's club. Capt. Hampton's opening address served as an introduction to the showing of the Controversial film, "Operation Abolition", which showed how the Communists used dupes to aid their cause in abolishing the House Committee for Un- American Activities. When the bill to do so was introduced before Congress it was defeated by a vote of 412-6. The film depicted the rioting which occurred in San Francisco during the hearings conducted by the committee, from May 12-14, 1960. Capt. Hampton turned to the audience for a question and answer period at the close of the film and many interesting queries were put to him. One person posed questions of such a nature that the assembly became indignant and were outspoken in their pleas for him to leave. As a result of the success of this program, there is a possibility of a, seminar to be organized in the very near future. The realization of the program will result if enoufeh interest is indicated.
