Mr. Hobirt has accepted a position in the office of the Borden company in this village and Mr. Bohlander is bookkeeper for the First National bank of Elgin. Robert Sutton and Miss Dora Stoffel are holding fine positions in Chicago. William Sutton is holding a government position as stenographer at Washington, D. C. All are graduates of the Ellis school. The local baseball season will be opened at the north side ball park at 2:30 Sunday afternoon when a pick-up team of this place will meet the Johnsburg aggregation of ball tossers. Joe Miller, of league fame, and his old .catcher, John Freund, will do the artillery work for Johnsbugh, while Frank Rossman and Peter Peterson will guard the McHenry fort. Admission 15 cents. On account of the very inclement . weather, the dance that was to have been held under the management of John McGee, at Stoffel's hall Saturday evening was postponed. Only a few of the McHenry lovers of the dancing art were awpre that the dance was postponed until they had reached the hall, but the younger set of McHenryities were soon equal to the occasion by getting together an orchestra composed of Anna Heimer, pianist; W i l l H e i m e r , t r a p d r u m ; George Heimer, violin; and Paul Barbian, cornet. About forty couples spent a very enjoyable . evening.
