Soloist for the service was Mrs. Irene Keim, who sang "Because," "Oh Promise Me" and "The Lord's Prayer". She was accompanied by Mrs. Carrie Lou Thomas. The bride was charming in a full length gown styled with fitted bodice of chantilly lace oyer taffeta, the skirt featuring lace medallions dotted with pearls and sequins on taffeta. The bodice had long pointed sleeves which tapered at the wrist, and a sabrina neckline edged with pearl sequins. Her crown of pearls and crystals held in place an elbow length veil and she carried a white Bible, a gift of the groom, with white orchid on it and streamers of stephanotis. For her "something old," she had a handkerchief belonging to her great-grandmother. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Jacqueline Skidmore of Ringwood, and bridesmaids were Anita Beckenbaugh of McHenry and Shirley Rickert of Crystal Lake. They wore mint green taffeta dresses styled with short sleeves, scoop necklines, with lace over taffeta bodices, and full skirts. Their headpieces were of matching taffeta in the shape of a bow. They carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations. Herbert Brooke of Ingleside, brother of the groom, served as best man, and groomsmen were Don McCracken, the bride's brother, and Bob Ford of Crystal Lake. Loren Miller of Richmond, cousin of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Ted Schaefer, Martin Foley and Bob Hettermann, friends. The blonde bride approached the altar, radiant in a long white, silk organza gown over taffeta, fashioned with a front panel down the skirt and two back panels, the latter extending into a chapel train. The back of the dress featured a three-tier bustle topped with an organza rose, and the bodice had a high scalloped neckline anrl short lace sleeves. The newlyweds left on a trip, one week of which will be spent in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania and the other visiting Niagara Falls and Canada. Upon their return they will reside at 2428 W.
