It seems that the Williams Bay area was a bit more crowded than anticipated by the members, so we moved the trip to the state park on the opposite side of Lake Geneva. The cook out, with chef La Brown in charge, was a scorching success. When the field trip was over, we still had fifteen unclaimed tots, who if no one claims, we will divide evenly among the advance division members at this coming month's contest meeting. The noise from all the shutters clicking was extremely overpowering . . . pictures were shot from every conceivable direction and angle. The strange thing about the whole outing was that all the advanced division members, when asked how many pictures they shot, came up with, the same number. They all shot exactly six -- three color and three black and white pictures. Evidently the intermediate division must have been responsible for all the racket caused by shutters clicking. The intermediate contest this month ought to be a real dilly to see, so don't miss it. The outdoor slide show is being set up by the members and will be ready for showing in a couple of weeks. The information I have on it at present is rather vague. It will be held on Sunday, about 8:30 in the evening on Riverside Drive. The screen will be set up on a car top and members and projector will be on a truck a few feet away. It should be an interesting experiment to see how many people will crowd around to see the Fiesta Day parade on the same street -- only in color slides. The exact time, place and set-up will be announced next week. So if you like to window shop, or if you're the curious type, don't forget to read our article so you won't miss our sidewalk show.
