There will be no spring for Mrs. Fricke. She passed away in the lovely place in the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving her husband, daughter, Lorraine, and son-in-law. No celebrations were on the docket,,and no company was oxpected. OH Saturday evening, they stopped in for a short visit with good friends,. They all retired early and some hours later, Dewey was awakened by Ella's complaints thai she had a funny feeling in her chest. Within minutes she was gone. Aid was solicited from Elma Nelson, who rushed next door, but in spite of the combined efforts of all of them, Ella was beyond help. An ambulance was summoned and the stricken woman was rushed to McHenry hospital where the fatal announcement was made. Services were held in Chicago on Wednesday with interment at Acacia cemetery. A clean-up crew spent many hours on Sunday, getting the beach ready for the winter season, and this included beaching the raft.
