All members present voted to accept the by-laws as they were with one meml>cr noL voting. Kimbro, vice-president and Jack Kelso for 3 years; Harold Palmer and Jim Stevens for 2 years and Tod Bierchen and Harvey Garbet for 1 year. The directors selected Bei nadine Grist as treasurer and Polly Stevens as secretary. Let's give these men our cooperatiorf^in every conceivable manner. They are forking for us, let's work for mem. Congratulations, gentlemen. A motion was made and carried for the association to replace the windows in the school shelter. Our water company has had a man collecting past due water bills. This will l>e stopped and if the bills are not paid in a reasonable time the water ®11 be shut off. ^ It was brought out that a prowler or "peeping torn" has been sighted in our subdivision. This has been reported to the sheriff's office and regular patrolling by his deputies will begin immediately. Some back dues have not been paid as yet. Remember, to contract for a snow plow for winter the dues must be tjaid. No contract can be signed unless the money is in the treasury. Get the dues rolling IN so we can be plowed 0IJT. * The delicious cakes donated for this meeting were baked by Fran Fuqua, Bemadine Grist and Norma Gunn. ^ Success successful fund drive in Sunnyside Estates for the Girl Scouts was recently completed through the efforts of five mothers of the Scouts. Open House ! Open house was held Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Hammershoy home to celebrate the homecoming of their son, Robert, of San Diego. Calif., Jean's and Ray's twenty-third anniversary and the birthday of their daughter, Roberta. Several friends called during .Ihe afternoon and later enjoyed a buffet supper. Robert left Monday to return to San Diego after an all too short visit. Pink or "Blue? Later the l A Small fireen Thumb • Six year old Brian Kobus was gifted with a small plant f£om his teacher. The young man brought his plant home transplanted it in the family garden. The plant grew and grew and pretty soon it was creeping into the neighbor's yard. But came the harvest and Brian had raised a 16 and ofte-half pound pumpkin plus many smaller ones.
